Calling All Avengers!
From one corner of the Multiverserse to the other, we've never needed them more!
From one corner of the Multiverserse to the other, we've never needed them more!
The year is 4,832AD, and for 1,831 years, Earth has been subjegated by the beings known only as "The Niodian".
No one knows where they came from, but in the year 3,001AD while Earth slept, Christmas Eve, the Niodian began their invasion. They began by devastating the major metropolitan areas from orbit on the dark side of Earth. No one realized what was happening until most of the humans of the world were dead. By then, the population of Earth turned to those that had been guarding them till then, the Honorary Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, but nothing they did worked. The Niodians were unstoppable, and in a short campaign that ushered in the year 3,002AD, Earth was under the control of the Niod.
Though they had few survivors, The Guardians of the Galaxy were not going to just go quietly into the night. They began a resistance movement within the population called "Avengers Underground". It welcomed supers and non-supers alike. Anyone that would fight. Earth became a battlefield, and in short order, spiraled into almost 2 millenia of bloodshed.
Finally, the Niod had enough of their conquered rebelling and began their final phase of their plan, the total mental conversion of Humanity. Many wondered why they hadn't just done that before. The reason was simple. The Niod thrive on negative feelings, to have Humanity willingly accept them would diminish their immediate power, but would vastly increase their galactic power. Earth's potential for super powered beings was the highest in the known universe, and the Niod wished to capitalize.
The plan began swiftly, and soon over a quarter of the world was converted. The Avengers Underground sprang into action, and an all out war began for the fate of Earth. It wasn't till the Avengers Underground began to push back the Niod, that they revealed their master plan. They were using Earth as a beachhead to take this Multiverse for themselves. All realities contained within Eternity would be theirs, and Humanity would do it for them! That's when they turned the converted onto the Underground.
Knowing they could not win, the last remaining original Guardian of the Galaxy, Vance Astrovik, sent himself careening back for help. But... he knew that this threat was too big... even for the Avengers. They needed more.. They needed to gather Avengers from all realities, all places. They needed to sound the call in so many realities that the Niod couldn't stop them.
The Niod aren't playing nice either. Vance was followed back in time, and there will be repercussions of his actions... But for now... Let the cry ring forth, from Earth 616 to Earth 1610 and beyond.. AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

Ok folks, Here's the deal. This game is being made for 2 reasons.
1. Because I haven't run a true MARVEL game on here in a long time and
2. Because I promised @ultrasolder that I would run him a game as a Christmas Present.
THE PREMISE: There is a looming threat, The Niod, that is so vast in scope that just one universe's Avengers won't be enough.
THE SKINNY: You're going to make an Avenger. Though... not necessarily from Marvel. Almost any character can be submitted and judged for acceptance. Have you ever wanted to see what would happen if Star Trek's Captain Kirk, or Dragon Ball's Goku were drafted into this conflict? How would they work as a true team?
THE STONE COUNT: This is an Unlimited Stone game, meaning that you're merely making a character, you're not worrying yourself over what costs what, and where to place things. Consider, however, keeping Concept over Power. Some of the best Avengers would have the lowest stone counts.
MAXIMUM PLAYERS: I will accept up to 7 players initially, more will be able to join.
RESERVED NAMES: There is one person that is already automatically in this game, and that's Hoots Rowlet .
OFF-LIMITS CHARACTERS: Vance Astrovik, Vance Astro, 616 Captain America
TONE OF SETTING: This game will begin more lighthearted, as the Multiversal Avengers explore individual worlds "Exiles" style, but will have very serious moments as the Niod stay the looming threat, at least for a while. It will have dark moments, evil villains and the looming knowledge that all the party's actions could be for naught if they fail.
HOUSE RULES
- Legal Books and Rules: Core Book, Guide to the X-Men, Guide to The Hulk and The Avengers, Guide to Spider-Man and the City of New York, House Rules Assemble 2.0, (If you can make a good case: Final Fantasy: The Dreaming and Dionon's Dragonball Rules)
- The Durability Split: Durability is split between Health, Energy Pool and Energy Regeneration, Your maximum energy is equal to your Energy Pool stat x3, Healing Factors grant bonus energy regeneration based on your Energy Regeneration ability.
- Extended Lifting: Lifting Costs 0 Extra Stones per Panel if you're lifting something 2 strength less than your total.
- Record Keeping: When posting your CADs, Post it twice. The first is the one that you will be making changes to, the second is there in case a reset is needed. The third post is for Earned and Spent Lines of Experience and Earned Extra Stones
PRE-GAME LOE BOUNTIES
- 1 LoE for each picture of your character in and/or out of costume (Max 3)
- 1 LoE for a good backstory
- 1 LoE for a Battle Theme for your Character
- 1 LoE for a Theme Song for your Character
- 1 - 3 LoE for a good Journal Post in your CAD section about your character (Determined by me after it's written, Must be at least 2 paragraphs long to qualify)
- 1 LoE for a quote from your character
