Hey people, So, has anyone else caught the first episode of Legion on FX? I hadn't even heard of it during production, and only found out about it like a week before the first episode aired. My expectations were really low after watching the trailer, but its ratings are really high so I tuned in. Honestly I still don't know what to think, but I enjoyed it. The style and tone are drastically different from other comic book adaptations - especially from the X-Men franchise. The best I can describe the style is Wes Anderson and Terry Gilliam had a mutant baby. I was reminded a little of Dark City at times, too. I love all of those things, so so far so good. On the other hand, it's almost nothing like how I remember Legion from the comics. But what else is new about comic book adaptations, right? There are only eight episodes, so the plot should move quickly. Check it out if you have a chance. Here's the most representative trailer: ~TWF

Since the lead writer is the one from the Fargo series I knew I was going to check it for sure, and I liked it. What remains to be seen will be if the tone of the second episode is similar to the first or the pilot was just an oddity.

It's in my queue, also entering with decidedly low expectations.

I binged the rest of this I had left (basically everything but the first two episodes) and even if it starts slow and it's quite weird I loved it. The characters are awesome, the actors do a wonderful job and the visuals are bananas.

Yes, I've finished it and I *loved* it. Almost guaranteed to be my favourite show of 2017. There's really nothing quite like it.

It's so early in the year and I already enjoyed quite a few strong contenders like Legion and Taboo, I'm eager to see how the third season of Fargo and the first of American Gods compare. I barely had seen her in anything, and now I'm an Aubrey Plaza fan.

Oh yeah, American Gods... that has potential to be a contender, too.
Aubrey Plaza can be amazing. I mostly know her from Parks and Rec, but she kills it in that.
