It's just a teaser but it looks weak as hell, and with Singer's participation, even if brief or in name only makes me recoil in fear.
But then again, I'm a sucker for powered teenager stories...

Man, Marvel is just throwing everything at the wall right now. They definitely seem to be aiming at younger audiences, lately, too. I guess maybe something will stick, but..

Cloak and Dagger looks like a much stronger attempt at the younger generation

Comic Con trailer:
Definitely has a Heroes vibe, though Heroes succeeded largely due to an above-average cast, and aside from my undying love for Amy Acker I'm not feeling it here. This grab-bag of canon characters doesn't inspire, either. But I guess it isn't really aimed at me.

It looks terribly generic, to be honest.

Watched the first episode and it's not terrible, but it's also a bit bland. The Heroes / No ordinary family vibes I'm getting from it don't help either.

Forgot this was coming out. I'll check it out, too.
Still so worried about Runaways...

Well, head to the Runaways thread and see if those worries disappear or not I don't know if I'll be following this with so many series starting these weeks.

Watched the first episode. Was pleasantly surprised! It's not terrible, it's not bad at all.. too early to tell if it's actually good, but I'll keep watching. "Good" will depend a lot on what sort of pace they settle into over their 10 episode first season.
You're right about the Heroes vibe, but I think they're doing it well. What I liked about the first season of Heroes was a combination of the multiple, separate plotlines, the slow build-up, the character development (and the fact that their characters were all very "everyman", even if most of them were unreasonably attractive), and the interesting powers. After the first season the show fell a little too in love with itself, and went to pieces, but there's still a niche for a show like The Gifted.

I was at the NYCC panel for this and decided to check out the first episode. It's fine. I think it has a lot of potential, but we'll see how much of that's cashed in. I'm always eager to see Amy Acker in new television, so I hope she's well-utilized.
