"Oh you're a Green Lantern." Tsuyu said stepping back. "You should have said something sooner ribbit, sorry." As a hero in training, she knew better than to interfere in the work of other more professional heroes, and when it came to heroes you did not get much higher than Green Lanterns. "Why were you among the pets then? Shouldn't you be with the other heroes instead?"
"Don't you worry about the details, cupcake." Ch'p explained. "All I'm obligated to say is that the League nor the Avengers could be trusted with the knowledge of this mission. It's only between us as Lanterns and the Guardians of the Universe to know...and I had to go through a lot of crap from Jordan to keep this situation under wraps. Hence, my stealth in plain sight."
Throg croaked again, taking a more determined stance as his hammer crackled with electricity!
"Don't lecture me on making mistakes, bug-breath!" Ch'p replied, charging his emerald ring with power. "You earthlings have no right keeping Proty locked up!"
OOC: Ch'p didn't go into much detail other than the fact that this covert mission of his was an exclusive Lantern-Guardian affair. Throg is not willing to let the Lantern get away with whatever he's planning, however. The two of them look ready to throw down.

"Wait, I'm confused, who's Proty?" She asked. "I don't want to get any trouble, but if you two start a fight, and damage the tower, I'm the one who's gonna bear the blame ribbit." She got between them. "Look if I understand more of what is going on, I'll know what to do so we all get out of this with our lives and careers intact."
3 in social skills. (Brutal Honesty, Hero-In-Training) to try and convince these two that fighting will only hurt me in the long run, and that the more I understand about the situation. The easier it will be for all of us to avoid trouble.
Froppy hopped between the two feuding animal heroes, intending to stop any fights that may bring more trouble than what is necessary. She wanted to settle this conflict diplomatically rather than physically, and she resorted to her time-honored honesty to see things through.
"Proty's the sentient alien protoplasm from Antares II these goons locked up." Ch'p explained. "They said he'd gone feral and had to keep him away from the general public, but that was just an excuse to keep him under with electroshocks and confinement in a small, cramped cage. He still has rights, y'know? He NEEDS to be back with his people on his home planet, as intended...not to be kept around as a thing."
Throg croaked a retort that only Tsuyu, ironically, couldn't understand.
"Trying to heal him, my furry behind!" Ch'p lashed back. "This is slavery and the Guardians know it! Did they spike your pond water, or were you always this nuts?"
They haven't exchanged blows...yet...
OOC: Tsuyu has delayed hostilites and got Ch'p to explain that Proty's an alien that had gone berserk lately. The League has him in confinement until they can cure him of his feral behavior, but the Guardians and the Lanterns say that he is being incarcerated and doped up against his will.
"Yeah, well...they do whatever they feel is necessary, even if it's not the diplomatic choice. They're creatures of logic, after all." Ch'p reasoned, if it could be called that. "I'm in no position to go against them...and practically no-one stands above these guys in the universal pecking order."
Throg croaked again, perhaps as another tool to bargain an absolution from Lantern law...or perhaps as a thinly-veiled threat. Tsuyu couldn't tell the two motives apart at this point considering how confusing the situation turned out to be.
"You're really starting to run me up the wall here, Puddlegulp." the squirrel replied, visibly annoyed.
OOC: Tsuyu couldn't get much of an answer from Ch'p other than "I just do as I'm told".
Tsuyu, with a modicum of regret, decided to leave the rodent-like Lantern complete his mission. She grabbed Throg so as to not give them any reason to resume infighting, but she only managed to move the Frog of Thunder because the creature allowed it; it was a demigod, after all. Puddlegulp managed to sigh in frustration, but nothing else.
"See? Was that so hard?" Ch'p responded. "Now that we've come to a reasonable conclusion, it's time to release our blob-friend from bondage..."
Using a plasma cutter generated by the energies of his ring, Ch'p cut the hinges and locks off the inches-thick cage which held Proty in a safe stupor. The space-squirrel then gently pulled the protoplasmic stowaway using a tractor beam, also from his ring, from the recesses of his confinement. The creature, now in full view, was just as described: a large, tallow-colored, translucent amoeba of an alien. It had a drooping pose as if he were weakened...probably dampening his biology by the materials of his cage or an energy field generated by it.
"Don't worry, pal." Ch'p spoke. "You'll be home soo-"
Without much a warning, red klaxons and alarms came to life around the compound!
"WARNING. POSSIBLE THREAT DETECTED IN UPPER ATMOSPHERE." blared an automated voice. "OBJECT'S TRAJECTORY IS HEADED TO HALL. ACTIVATING LOCK-DOWN PROTOCOL."
"Huh? What now?!" Ch'p moaned.
OOC: Ch'p has managed to free Proty without intervention, but moments after the Hall's automated systems detected an incoming threat. It has engaged a lock-down to protect its inhabitants.
Froppy was just as bewildered as the rest of the inhabitants of the Hall, running along with the others back to the atrium to get a better idea of the threat that was coming their way. For the place to have entered a state of maximum security...told them much about the magnitude of the issue.
While no windows or openings to the outside were readily available, Tsuyu and her animal companions were able to take a look at the mainframe as it came to life...showing exactly what they would be up against...
Surpassing terminal velocity, imagery from cameras and satellites were able to get a lock on the incoming trespasser. He was a wild-haired man of grayish-white skin and red eyes, clad in leather and chains and riding what appeared to be a heavily-modified jet-cycle! This alien was a notorious bounty hunter, and most knew him as...
"LOBO?!" Ch'p shouted in surprise. "Nonononononnononoonono...Nuh-uh! We can't take him on; it's suicide! I gotta contact the Corps!..."
He raised his Lantern Ring...but it did nothing! Another look at the mainframe revealed that Lobo himself was responsible, as he had hit a switch on his bike with uncanny timing!
"No! He jammed my ring's comms!"
"Be lucky I didn' disable th' ring completely, ya rat." Lobo said, apparently fully aware that he was been watched! Had he hacked the Hall's systems and force a two-way conversation?!
"I like a fight, but pref'rably without outside interf'rence." he continued, smirking. "MAYBE if ya give up th' blob, then I won' have to get too ruff. Anyhoo, comin' up on D.C. right now...grab on to yer undies!"
Cannons telescoping from his space-bike, he opened fire on the defensive turrets of the compound, making the entire establishment shake as if an earthquake was passing through! The pets of both the Justice League and Avengers became restless, and Lockjaw more-so...considering that his teleportation was also scrambled! He could only teleport a few feet rather than his famous intergalactic distances!
What would be next for these bestial buds?
OOC: Everyone managed to look at the mainframe in the atrium of the Hall since all windows and openings are locked.
The threat is none other than Lobo, the last Czarnian. This twisted freak has managed to dull or dampen both Ch'p's Lantern Ring communications array and Lockjaw's teleportation ability with the flick of a switch on his space chopper.
It's clear that the Main Man wants Proty and is not afraid to use force to do so. He's currently within bombarding distance of the Hall, so he might just breach through its defenses shortly...
Tsuyu Asui was bewildered, for a lack of better terminology. This simple extracurricular activity proved to be WAY more difficult than what she had bargained for. Simple pet care turned into an emergency fight-or-flight scenario involving a notorious bounty hunter. She asked Ch'p for guidance as to what to do next...however, the Lantern corpsman was having difficulty processing what was going on himself!
"Oh man...Uhh..." Ch'p was scrambling to give Tsuyu a plan. "Okay...maybe if we surrender then he'll go easy on us...maybe..."
Throg shook his head and croaked despondently. He turned to the rest of the Pet Avengers plus the Legion of Super-Pets, and translated the situation to them with the uncanny ability to speak all bestial languages. From the way they were focused on him, Tsuyu could see in the other animals' faces that they understood his croaks loud and clear. Even Proty was conscious enough to hear Throg's speech, albeit weakly.
The time for making plans was over, as a thundering crash on the roof of the Hall of Justice knocked everyone off-balance! Descending on his jet-cycle, Lobo maintained a cocky smirk.
"Okay! Okay! We give up!" Ch'p protested as he got back up. "You win, Lobo...you can have Proty."
Throg nodded in agreement, and so did the other animal heroes.
"Huh, that easy?" Lobo scoffed. "I coulda did this with m'eyes closed..."
But Lobo turned to Tsuyu for her word.
"Jus' like that, frog-girl? No tricks or schemes?...'cause the Main Man don' appreciate liars..."
OOC: Ch'p suggested surrender, and Throg has communicated this decision to the rest of the animal heroes via his version of Allspeak. Lobo has breached the Hall's barrier and is now face-to-face with everyone.
He wants to make sure that Tsuyu and the others are not lying to him. That he can leave with Proty with no strings attached.
