So the DC film franchise is bleeding out at the box office. Let's imagine that the producers at Warner Bros come to YOU for help. Here's the situation: Justice League was a colossal failure both in ratings, and more importantly, in profits, for what needed to be DC's equivalent to the Avengers. Aquaman has already finished filming and is in post-production, but has had its release date of July 2018 pushed back twice, to October, and now late December 2018. Shazam is in pre-production but set to begin filming as early as this winter. The sequel to Wonder Woman, DC's only complete success, already has a release date of November 2019, but has otherwise not begun production. And plans to finish a solo Batman film, The Batman, are up in the air, with rumours that Affleck has given up more than just directing, but perhaps walked away from the entire role for good. There were once intentions to film movies for Flash, Cyborg, Black Adam, Green Lantern, Batgirl, Nightwing, Lobo, Justice League Dark, Gotham City Sirens, Birds of Prey, Deathstroke, Deadshot, and a sequel to Suicide Squad, but now it's all up in the air. What do you do? How do you fix the DCEU?

Working on specifics is hard, but a turn towards making the heroes feel iconic and heroic as they should have could be a nice step. We don't need half assed "do what works for Marvel" attempts because that would be a bit sad, but there are epics to be tapped in these characters without resorting to the Snyder dreary and horrible murderverse.
