Stll stalled at Zelda Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey... both of which are already amazing and both of which I'm faaaaaar away from completion. I lost my job three weeks ago so the only game I bought since then was Sniper Elite 4 on my PC and only because there was a 66% sale on Steam. Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

Yeah. I'm okay. I was essentially depressed for 2 weeks, but I'm doing better now.

On a similar note as the original title... finally started playing Fallout 4, after years of waiting!

I know this is almost a year late but what kind of games are you interested in?

It'd probably take a lot less time to tell you what kind of games I am *not* interested in, lol. I don't really like racing games (with one exception; Wreckfest, mostly because I love to see my car wreck itself completely due to my very poor racing skills), I'm very bad at FPS so not a big fan (would probably like them more if I wasn't so bad at 'em), and I'm really not a big fan of multiplayer only games ala DOTA, LoL, PUBG and the like, because I was apparently born without a sense of competition and I dislike games entirely based on the principle of 'defeating other players'.
As for what I like, let's see. I'm an RPG fanatic. I love all and everything RPG. Tactical, action, turn-based, even FPS RPGs as long as the RPG aspect can make up for my suckiness at FPS. XD I love action and adventure games like Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed. I love Metroidvanias of all kinds, strategy games like Commandos, Civilization and Starcraft. Big fan of Open World/Sandbox games, love doing whatever I please in a given world. I've only begun trying out some visual novels games, and so far I love it. I absolutely love Stardew Valley and Graveyard Keeper. I love horror-based games like Resident Evil, Dead Island and Dead Rising, but I'm also a scaredy cat when I play them so it can take years before I complete one.
Favorite series/games of all time probably include Shin Megami Tensei, the Disgaea - and related - games, Final Fantasy even though I'm not a fan of their latest titles (I don't hate XV, but it's far from my favorite), Castlevania, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Castlevania, DnD games ala Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, and Terraria.

Since you have a 2DS, have you tried Persona Q? If you are an old school gamer like me (I grew up on games such as Bard's Tale, Might and Magic, and Wizardry) and like the Etrian Odyssey series, you will LOVE Persona Q. It is a hybrid of SMT Persona series and Etrian Odyssey series. It takes the environment of the EO series and brings in characters from Persona 3 and 4. It has the old school dungeon crawl feel to it (tough monsters and puzzles) with the nice story and gameplay of the Persona series (obtaining and using demonic personas to fight for you). The relationship aspect of the Persona series is there but not like the Persona series. Awesome game!
For the Switch:
1. Y's VIII~ If you have not played this yet, you should give it a try. I was not a fan of Y's series (tried only I and II before) but the exploration, neat characters, and story sold me on the game. I have not finished it yet (I'm terrible with finishing games due to me moving on to the next shiny game that comes along), but I love it. Also, as you explore, you'll rescue other people who will join and add function to your growing community (kind of like Suikoden).
2. Disgaea V Complete~ It has all the dlc! nuff said...
3. Dead Cells~ Someone coined the term roguevania to describe this game. You explore interconnected areas with rogue like elements (the fight over terms roguelike and roguelite gives me a headache and I really don't care for the minute details between the 2). You either finish the game in one go or start over from the beginning. There are no checkpoints. However, you keep new areas you've unlocked, abilities, and mutations gained. Be warned-It's a game for masochistic players though.
4. Hollow Knight~ A hauntingly beautiful metroidvania game. For you a MUST!
5. Resident Evil Revelations~ Played this on the 3DS and loved it! The co-op feature allowed me to enjoy the game further after I was done with the main story. I have not played the 2nd one but both games come with the physical game on the Switch although you have to download the first game (RER2 is on the cartridge).

Haven't tried Persona Q yet, no, but if it's Persona, I'll love it for sure. XD I intend to get Disgaea 5 on my computer, and I already have Dead Cells. ^_^ Hollow Knight, Y's and RE Revelations I'll have to look up. Thanks for the advice.

I got ME. I have Dragon Age Origins, Awakening and II. Are there more than those three? Dragon Age: Inquisition. Came out about 3 1/2 years ago. Neither are on the Switch though... Oh, that's true. I see the word Switch in a conversation and forget it's referring to a specific system.

Well, you do have to SWITCH the games in the game system to be able to play them... right? RIGHT?
......Okay, I'll see myself out.
