Is it sad that I'm getting all enthusiastic reading up on old classes of Star Destroyer and their precursors. I don’t think it’s sad at all. I love reading through Star Wars rpg sourcebooks and reading the history.

News flash: We'll be getting a new player soon-ish. Namely a friend of RidiculousNinja who will create an account eventually, and send a CAD my way when done.

Will they be joining at the same time as me, then? And will they start with 40 or 50 stones?

They will start at 40. One had to be there when the Holidays happened to get the Holidays bonuses. As for whether he will join when you do, that really depends on whether his character is ready when that happens or not. Either way, that matters very little at the end of the day; if he isn't, I can always get him in a bit later down the line in the issue.

Actually, hold on: am I ready to join the main plot, now?

This is kinda why I figure spending the points on stuff that is relative is a good idea (money and military rank) that way everyone can get the benefit. That said Mephistel, for the love of God buy some points in Reflexive Dodge 😉

That would be a good idea

I keep on having crazy ideas for stuff I want to do. Like creating my own multipurpose droid based on a biologic design (like a large cat or similar). Or setting up a unit of Mandalorians, inducted by Zorto Hoots Rowlet? Not sure how one becomes a Mandalorian but genetically all Storm Troopers are more or less Mandalorian coming from Jengo Fett and upgrading our Storm Troopers would be big and clever. Too many ideas...

Too many ideas... during this time though I can always be wrong but the Fett clones make up 20% or even less of the Stormtroopers the rest being based off other clone templates probably another 20 present and then real recruited humans. Unless Manah has stated different of course Fett clones became a minority (especially after the Kamino uprising) because the Emperor saw how easy it was to alter their genes. By having a variety or better yet natural born humans he didn’t have to worry about reprogramming.

What Ninja says. At the time of Episode IV, clones are not only a minority, but even a rarity in the Empire by far starting about a decade before the battle of Yavin, so nowadays, Stormtroopers in general have nothing to do with Mandalorians.
Not saying it would be impossible to recruit a unit of them, but one other thing to consider is that on average, Mandalorians and the Empire do not get along too well at the time of the Galactic Empire. Zorto would likely be an exception, possibly due to the wealth and power he can gather from being one of Darth Vader's right-hand man Hutt being appealing to him due to his species. So such allies would have to be picked carefully if loyalty is to be expected.

Oh I'm not thinking of recruiting. I'm thinking of taking Storm Troopers and creating Mandalorians via Zorto. He induct them in creating his own 'tribe'. That way we get a Manadorian tribe who is loyal to us. After all, if a Hutt can become a Mandalorian, why not a clone? It also means we can have back up if we need to pose as Non Imperials.

Or we just get new armour made, so we can pose as a unit of mercenaries. A tribe of Mandalorians would be cooler though.

I mean, if they're Stormtroopers 'Mandalorians' who are loyal to the Empire and who have no cultural or philosophical connection to Mandalorians, they're not actually Mandalorians. That's kind of like saying 'I'm a Thief/Assassin, except I never steal anything and I would never kill anyone unless absolutely necessary'; it sort of comes with the package, lol. It takes more than just training and a badass armor to be one, it's an ideal, a set of ideas and values, a culture, and so on. What you're describing is probably closer to 'Stormtroopers with Mandalorian training/equipment'... which I suppose is certainly possible if that's the case. Also, it'd be pretty hilarious to see a bunch of Troopers being beaten into shape by their Hutt Mandalorian 'drill sergeant'. XD Of course, that's if Zorto so pleases, but if he ever takes a military rank along with troops, I would so very, very much see him lead ground troops on a battlefield with deadly effectiveness, myself.

Out of curiosity how many of our characters are just stark loyal to the Empire? Wray was shaken with the destruction of Alderaan and unveiling of the Death Star but he still believes as of right now the Empire can be good. To be honest he probably hates the Emperor
