Got a few ideas for another game, just testing the waters to see which is most interesting to people. So please have a read, and please leave your vote(s).
1) Anime Verse - Basically, this is either a Multiverse (several connected universes) or an Omniverse (all universes in one changed a little to make them work more or less well in one world) including Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Dragon Ball, Fairy Tail, Type MOON, Sailor Moon, Pokémon, Trigun, Soul Eater, RWBY, Gurren Lagann, and possibly elements from others/full other verses if I feel like it. I would favor original characters, but that's just a preference.
2) Videogame Verse - As #1, but with Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokémon (yup, still), Castlevania, Star Fox, Uncharted, Metroid, Sonic, Megaman, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Type MOON (also again), Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed and so on. Sorry, Brainstem, didn't want to step on your toes, but I really would love to do this. Also my idea is not focused on Nintendo, so there's that for a difference, I guess? (We're also quite different GMs, so I'm sure two similar games would still be viable.) On this one, I'm probably more aiming for an Omniverse, and I would have a preference for players picking existing, official characters.
3) 'Early' Superhero Setting - This one is definitely a single universe, including both DC and Marvel, as well as Heroes, the NBC series. What I mean by 'early' is, imagine the Cinematic Marvel Universe at its beginning, when people with superpowers were just beginning to become a bit more common (think X-Men 1, Spider-Man 1, the origin movies of the Avengers and so on), a bit more realistic than the comics (i.e no yellow and blue suit for Wolverine) while still being true to the characters in the comics (so Juggernaut is not a mutant, and is a lot stronger/effective than the big idiot we saw in X3). It's not an absolute necessity here, but I'd love for characters in this game to be custom characters who discover their powers in-game (never had a chance to make a random powers game before and I think it'd be fun), but I'm open to other options if it doesn't please people.
4) Godlings - Inspired by the likes of Percy Jackson and American Gods, as well as my love of myths and legends, the idea is similar to #3. In a modern setting, people with powers actually exist in the shadows, but they are either Gods, or children of Gods. So the characters here would be people who have at least one Divine parent, preferably focused on one of the Pantheons I know best (else I might have trouble involving it in the stories), namely Norse mythology, Greek, Egyptian, Celtic, possibly Japanese, Mesopotamian and Aztec. Plus Christian Angels and God to round things up a bit.
