He is unable to shut it off, can't control when it happens or how intensely, and sometimes he can't even make sense of it. Other times, they are extremely useful, but again, he can't decide when they occur or what they will show/tell.)
Justin's proudest moment was the day the graduated from the police academy with honors. A trained helicopter pilot he was rarely ever in the line of fire mostly he just tracked and criminals and aided in their capture high in the sky. Of course being the eye in the sky also allowed him to witness multiple instances of wrongful police activity. Though at first he wrote the events off as simply not seeing the whole picture soon the mounting evidence was too much to ignore, unfortunately corruption had infiltrated the entire precinct and once he reported the events he was seeing he found himself up on false charges.
Justin has always had an appreciation for irony, while in prison he learned and honed skills associated with the criminal element. With the same passion he learned to be an officer of the law he learned the skills needed to expose those he saw as traitors to the law. He began to move into the underworld using he new skills to disrupt the dealings and whenever possible expose them.
During one of his latest outings to try and gather information Justin was following a known criminal, this lead him to a plot to rob Gotham City Museum. Following the criminals inside Justin was able to locate the artifact that the mastermind, a weirdly bandaged man, was trying to steal. With the aid of The Bat, Justin stole the object first intending only to keep it out of the criminal's hands and return it anonymously later. Once to safety curiosity got the better of Justin who opened the case to find a large black pearl. This pearl connected Justin's mind with an alien network of beings who offered him powers, when Justin learned that the beings were indiscriminate with their powers and would offer them to anyone the Orb chose Justin felt he had not choice but to accept in order to keep this it was he was being offered in the right hands. Justin has had his mind altered and now faces a world with power he does not fully understand and is slightly afraid of, but hopes to master.
