An article with a few pictures on EW, it's looking quite promising:

And as expected, we have a Captain Marvel trailer ahead of Brie Larson's appearance on Good Morning America:
Bear in mind, I hear the special effects are still at an early stage, as filming only wrapped a couple months ago.
I'm 100% on board with this, as I like the character and love Brie Larson. In keeping with my policy about trailers, this is probably the last trailer I'm going to watch for this movie, though if I find more I'll try to link them with my eyes closed. ^__^

It looks amazing. I'm wondering how the general population will react to the "WHAT MAKES HER A HERO (CUT TO OLD LADY PUNCHING)" scene.

That was my first thought too! Imagine all the people who don't know about Skrulls... I'm 75% sure they did that on purpose for the memes. Hope it doesn't backfire. EDIT:

Looks like Marvel is planning an Eternals movie to follow up on Captain Marvel. Another miss for me. More excited about the real Captain Marvel with Zachary Levi.

Latest trailer. It lays out a lot more of the plot, but it's nothing really spoilery for us; content warning for another cringy, hamfisted play-on-words reference to her gender, though. lol

I missed it the first time so I rewatched it, another "her into hero" fade, I expected something within the movie itself for a moment. Yeah, they aren't being exactly elegant with it and feels needless but then again if I missed it the first time... dunno.

I mean, it's specifically "WITH HER", which was the Hillary Clinton campaign slogan. I really wish they wouldn't.

New trailer thingy, I don't know, I'm trying not to watch these. All I know is it starts with some of my beloved Elastica and now I'm convinced this movie is flirting with me:

Yeah, they aren't being exactly elegant with it and feels needless but then again if I missed it the first time... dunno. Ugh, they're REALLY making this about her gender which bugs they heck out of me. She's hardly the first female hero in Marvel, let alone super-hero films. Wonder Woman didn't need to play up her gender and it was a fantastic film. I'm also not to keen on the rumors about how they're changing certain characters for this film. Mostly I'm upset that they're kind of tanking a character I've been wanting to get more respect for 20+ years (my sister had a comic with the collected issues of how she lost her powers). Oh, didn't know that, I guess I have a whole Atlantic Ocean protecting me from certain nods xD *envy* Indeed.

But it's the first female lead Marvel movie (even if I don't agree with certain aspects of the push). And Wonder Woman played up her gender before, during and even after the movie (it doesn't bother me at all, but it did). That aside, the DeConnick-Fraction family photo on the movie premiere rocks.

That picture is amazing. That little girl knows how to accessorize!
FWIW, it's running an 83% at Rotten Tomatoes, certified fresh. Sounds pretty okay, but not up there with the true greats. Only a little over 100 reviews counted (I expect 200-300 in the end) and they tend to dip over time as reviewers outside of the genre eventually get on board and sigh. It's averaging a 7/10 on RT, and 66 at Metacritic.
