Mutant with the ability to possess those he touches. Like Jericho? Sort of im going to try not to be a copycat of anyone. Possess by touch. ive always wanted to try out the power its kind of like a glass cannon, extremely powerful but with the huge glaring weakness of needing a powerful host and the fact that you have no defenses yourself. Maybe even a symbiotic approach? but then I would be a copy cat.... ^0.0^

22W+(3 or X) challenges. Not a hard count. Being a Mutant does not grant any challenge stones, but being a mutant comes with all the attendant mutant-specific weaknesses. Negative and zero wealth also does not grant any challenge stones (and, in fact, having low or no income is sort of par for the course here). No hard limit on challenge stones, but be reasonable and keep the setting in mind. 3 seemed about right but didn't want to artificially handicap a good idea.
Not using the AoA specific timeline or characters as written in that story. Don't feel that just because it happened in the comics one way that things will happen that way here. The main plot hook will be that the mutant Apocalyspe has installed his regime over large portions of Earth and is trying to stamp out any resistance to his eventual global cult. Characters will be part of the people caught in the wake trying to survive long enough to form a resistance. People wanting to play versions of canonical characters should check with me as I may have plans to introduce some of them through the plot. You should, however, assume that characters like Cable (or any of the Summers/Grey clan), Archangel, and other characters with close canonical ties to Apocalypse are "taken".

So how far into post-apocalypse will this be? Walking Dead or Horizon Zero Dawn?

So how far into post-apocalypse will this be? Walking Dead or Horizon Zero Dawn? I guess closer to the Walking Dead. There are still remnants of working factories and what not, but most aren't manned. Human armies are largely non-existent, but a few small militias linger here and there. Electricity could be produced with the right know how and some luck. Apocalypse's main weakness is he can't be everywhere.

A small group of independent survivors enduring Apocalypse's regime, potentially joining up with other similarly situated folks trying to piece back together normal society and ultimately overthrow Apocalypse. Preference for original characters - adolescent mutants manifesting powers for the first time, though not a strict requirement. Not sure of the general power level I want yet. Leaning towards a 30-35ish count, but I'm not 100% sure of that. Basically the only hard limits currently are against reality warpers, or time travelers. Magic in my games is an element like any other, 1 stone of X is the same as 1 stone of Y, but situational modifiers may apply, and normal energy rules will apply. Let me know what you're thinking. That ought to give me some sense of what kinds of stone count I want. So I’ve been waiting for you to post info like this before talking concepts; I just scrolled up and saw I mossed your post! My first idea has already been stolen by Dhark (typical). I stole his last time, so I’ll let it slide... I have a couple backups in mind that I need to flesh out more. Lead contender is a lightning-throwers. For now.

I'm just sort of eyeballing what it would take to make a decent Archangel or Cyclops as a litmus, and 25ish is sort of the upper limit of where I'm looking.

OK, I finally got a chance to sit down at my computer and work on an idea. I’ll flesh out my backstory and other details tomorrow (and a cool name eludes me!)
He comes across as an outlander/barbarian who’s had to raise himself on the fringes of whatever is left of civilization. He plays that image up for the edge it gives him, but he’s a tinkerer, scavenging technology for scraps of anything useful. Taking some low levels of Inventing. His mutant power allows him to channel and discharge electricity as strokes of lightning.
Looking for a descriptive name, or I may just go with something “normal.”

Got a name; need more info for my background.
How long has Big Blue been in power? What are some of the common threats faced due to his regime? (Killer robots? Mutant patrols? Random acts of destruction?) Where will we be located, geographically?
