I'm probably pretty alone on this, but I'd love to see a Young Avengers movie - though probably not by that name. A team of young would-be heroes inspired by the Avengers would be pretty sweet right now, and a lot of the stage is set for it: Cassie Lang is grown up enough to be Stature, or close to it; Patriot could step up in the wake of Captain America stepping down; they could easily resurrect an adolescent, mind-stoneless version of Vision; I'd love to see Hawkeye train Kate Bishop, or possibly his own daughter, Lila, as the next Hawkeye (we saw him teaching her to shoot already; imagine how pissed his wife would be though omg). Speed or Wiccan haven't been set up, but they can be replaced; on the other hand, it would be nice to have some cannon gay characters. And how crazy would it be if they used Kang the Conqueror as the villain, with Iron Lad in the team, like in the comics?
It's probably too cheesy, and I'm wary of teen/young actors trying to carry a movie in the MCU, but otherwise I'd be all over that. A crossover with Spider-Man where he suddenly finds himself being the adult/veteran hero in front of all these newbies/wannabes would be hilarious. Hell no, you aren't alone They could draw from the original Heinberg/Cheung run, the Kieron Gillen/Jamie McKelvie run afterwards and borrow even from more recent installments of some of the characters like the (just finished/cancelled) West Coast Avengers where Kate Bishop tries to manage a team of misfits. The further we go in the timeline, the more queer characters we have to pick from, so it's not for lack of material without even having to resort to some original MCU ones.

Okay, so beware, this is getting into spoilers for some of the Disney+ shows that haven't even been made yet: So apparently Variety is spreading the rumour that the Hawkeye TV miniseries will involve Renner's Hawkeye passing the torch on to the Kate Bishop Hawkeye character, claiming to have heard this from "inside sources". Take that with a grain of salt, but if you're going to base a Hawkeye story on the comics, the Matt Fraction run has to be #1 on your list, right? The Wanda/Vision show is rumoured to be set in the 50s, possibly in an alternate timeline (or maybe a false one created by Scarlet Witch herself?), and possibly where the titular characters are happily married. Maybe this could spawn (literally) Speed and Wiccan? Could Patriot factor into the Falcon + Winter Soldier show? We aren't far off from Hulkling, either, given that Skrulls and the Kree are now canon in the MCU. Makes me wonder if they're tentatively looking at a Young Avengers spinoff TV series rather than film, maybe based on the ratings/reception/profits of the first round of shows? Part of me is a little doubtful because I don't expect these shows to be profitable: They're meant to be loss-leaders, a way to get people to sign up for Disney+ even if it costs a buttload of money upfront. Still, maybe it happens. I'd settle for a decent show, even though I'd prefer a couple movies.

I don't think they gave this version of Wanda the power to do that, but maybe they can find a way to explain it away from the recent movie's Scarlet Witch?
As to young avengers, yeah, I'm sure they'd push for that to be more of a TV show rather than have a movie for it mainly because to establish all those characters in the span of one, or a few, 1.5 - 2 hour movies may prove challenging to them. Plus with Disney+ as a platform it may even prove easier for them. Just my thought anyways. For some reason it seems easier to do teen team shows rather than movies, like The Runaways, Teen Titans, Young Justice (the animated series) etc.
EDIT: Well there IS New Mutants coming out as a movie, but we'll see how that goes..

I have a hunch that New Mutants will go direct to video on Disney+. Apparently it's been a nightmare.

Take that with a grain of salt, but if you're going to base a Hawkeye story on the comics, the Matt Fraction run has to be #1 on your list, right? That amazing run could certainly be a source of inspiration since it's not only incredibly good with a top notch team of people working on it, but it'd also be way cheap to adapt. Sadly the single, messy, naively well meaning, bad ass with a list of terrible love choices Clint Barton of that series aligns very, very, very poorly from the family man redeemed twice Clint Barton of the movies. They did get inspiration from the almost same team's (Fraction/Aja/Hollingsworth) run of Iron Fist for the series and it was the best part of the poorly done product so... Makes me wonder if they're tentatively looking at a Young Avengers spinoff TV series rather than film, maybe based on the ratings/reception/profits of the first round of shows? Still, maybe it happens. I'd settle for a decent show, even though I'd prefer a couple movies. The idea of a series is initially terrifying if one thinks of Runaways or Cloak and Dagger, but if they do pump money and some good will into the product it could turn out well. Legends of Tomorrow is the most recent example of making a crazy fun series if you allow yourself some flair and personality and don't worry about looking goofy, so money it's not as much an issue as it's scope. If you follow a page from the second run and introduce Miss America (and even young Loki) you could have a reality hopping series Exiles style with a bunch of teenagers trying to solve stuff and not wanting (or unable) to return home.

It would never happen but I'd love to see a Captain Britain show on Disney+. It would be crazy violent, magic/science and weirdness, and just plain crazy in places. His early foes were bonkers and they just got weirder. Jaspers Warp etc. Plus it's all over that multiverse thing that MCU might steer into. Am sure there was a 'What if' tv show mentioned somewhere, unless I'm imagining it.

Anything to keep them from retconning established characters as gay. I HATE when characters are changed. People need to be allowed to be who they are.

Just saw this last weekend and proceeded to process. I liked it at or just under infinity War for me. Y’all have already broken down what was wrong as always:)
Anyways I wanted to point out that marvels next tactic should be to not make superhero movies... hear me out.
Horror, Sci-fi, Fantasy, etc try to make the movies be less super and more genre, that’ll take the strain off of the saturated market and give everyone a breather. How would they do that? Well Dr. Strange can delve into fantasy more. I think Guardians views more like Sci-fi than superhero as it is which is why it works and I think they can tune it just a little more as well. Horror? Well it’s about time marvel got a little more bloody IMO the X-Men should be kept pretty dark and there’s several horroresque storylines. Black widow movie I think will be a bit darker and hopefully gritty. They can even do a western or two with Jonah.
Idk I’m not a film expert but this is kinda what I would like to see.

Dr. Strange could delve into horror too. Thor could have been more fantasy/sci-fi.
