Andy Man was doing what he did best in the store he had worked in for so long in what had been so far a fairly slow afternoon, with few customers and no incident. A sunny, cloudless day outside had apparently drawn people away from their usual shopping habits, and the result were that he had to look for things to do as opposed to things to do coming to him. That is, until he heard someone screaming for help a couple of aisles away... a feminine voice, judging from the tone.

Andy Man alerts security and rushes toward the source of the screaming. He hopes the woman is just excited about the store's high quality dry goods, but her scream sounds a tad too manic. Fortunately, Andy recently attended active shooter training, so he knows to "Run! Hide! Fight!" in that order. It could also be someone going into labor in the maternity department. These things happen, because this is retail. Expect the unexpected!
Action 1: 2 stones Social Skills (Retail) to silently alert store security of a possible situation in his department. Action 2: 1 stone in speed to rush toward the source of the scream.

As he turned into the aisle he heard the cry from, he realized what was going on; a woman was on the ground, while some guy in a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a denim coat with white tennis was running away from her and towards Andy, holding her purse... and a knife. The woman seemed only mildly hurt, so that was good. Depending on his actions, Andy could end up badly hurt. So that was bad.

What to do in the event of an armed robbery: - Don’t try to be a hero.
- Avoid surprises.
- Activate any silent or holdup alarms you have in the store.
- Try to give them the marked money in your register.
- Be observant.
- Call the police immediately after the incident.
- Preserve the evidence.
FunnyBread takes a mental note of the robber's height, eye and hair color, hair length, and if he's wearing anything they sell at his store. He also tries to slip away from the direct path of the robber, toward the nearest silent alarm to activate it. Action 1: 3 stones Intelligence to observe the robber's physical characteristics. Action 2: 2 stones in Agility to slip away from the robber's path and press an alarm button.

Luckily, he managed to get out of the robber's way with ease, who in turn kept running as he made his way to the nearest exit, which did not stop Andy from making quick mental notes of his appearance. And while his clothes seemed too old to have been taken at the store, his pockets and coat seemed too full to be merely what the man was carrying around normally, so he had likely stolen some more before taking that woman's purse.
The man soon got out of the store and ran off as the young man successfully rang the silent alarm. Still, aside from a frightened lady, it looked like no one had been hurt, including himself.

"I... I think I'm okay?" she stammered, still quite a bit shocked. "...He took my bag... I had my wallet, my cards, everything in there..."
A couple fellow employees joined him as he helped her back on her feet. "You okay too, man?", a younger guy named Phil asked, while a tomboyish blonde named Vicky stood by, speaking on her smartphone, seemingly in response to a call by the boss asking why the silent alarm was activated.

"I'm fine but we need to tell loss prevention about this. They should be able to help our customer file a report as well." Andy says to Phil. "I hope we caught the robber on tape and can find him to return the stolen belongings. Sometimes I wish I was one of those Marvels, who are more than human. Then I could put things right myself."

"That won't be necessary, actually", a brown-haired man said with a fairly thick British accent, wearing a brown tweed jacket over a white striped shirt, navy blue bowtie, black trousers and black loafers. "The quite unfortunate would-be criminal has apparently fallen prey to some sort of poorly timed - for him anyways - dizzy spell, and has collapsed just as he exitted the building. You'll find him very much still unconscious just ahead of the doors, and I believe this is yours", he said, handing the lady her bag.
"Oh, thank you! God bless you!"
"Whoa... is the guy gonna be okay? Should I also call an ambulance?" Vicky asked.
To which the man merely smiled. "...I wouldn't worry about that. He will be fine in a few hours, if behind bars. You can trust me, I'm a doctor."
For some reason, Andy could have sworn the man had said 'the' instead of 'a'. But then again, perhaps he had misheard the man because of his accent.

Who is this doctor, Andy wonders. "Thanks, Doc!" he says. Andy then checks to make sure that store security now has the situation under control.
If all is well, Andy checks if the doctor or the woman who just got her purse back need any help as customers of his fine department store.
Action 1: 4 stones in Social Skills split 2/2. 2 for (Retail) making sure that the robber is in custody and all the store's legal requirements are being taken care of. Then 2 stones in (Dealing with Customers) to see if the woman or the doctor still needs customer service. Action 2: None.

Andy quickly make sure that security is handling the situation, and already two guards are on the scene, one handling the unconscious suspect as police sirens can be heard getting closer, and the other coming to give a hand to the lady who was attacked.
A rapid verification assures him the woman is going to be fine, and she seems thankful of the employees' efforts, not holding them responsible in any way for the incident.
As for the Doctor, however, he had vanished as quickly as he had appeared.

Andy wants to give the good doctor a Friends & Family discount card, so he asks a friend in security to help him find a brown-haired man said with a fairly thick British accent, wearing a brown tweed jacket over a white striped shirt, navy blue bow-tie, black trousers and black loafers. Maybe the security monitoring system can help.
Action 1: 3 stones in Social Skills (Persuasion) asking a friend in store security for help finding the doctor.
Action 2: 1 stone Leadership toward the security member's efforts toward locating the doctor.

It took a little moment of research, but Andy's colleague, a security guy named Thomas, tapped the computer's screen on which they were checking the cameras.
"I think I got your guy", he said, showing him the corresponding screen to a camera in the men's clothing area. What was very strange, however, is that the doctor seemed to be talking to someone... someone who appeared as an odd blur on the video feed. They could see the person's silhouette, but none of its features, and yet everything else appeared clearly on the screen.
"The heck? ...Maybe the lens is dirty", he pondered, shrugging.

"I'm going over there. Keep watching and call my cell if he moves to a different department," Andy tells Thomas before hustling to the Men's Department where he saw the Doctor speaking to a blurry smudge.
Action 1: 2 stones in Social Skills (Persuasion) asking Thomas to keep monitoring and to call him if anything changhes.
Action 2: 2 stones Speed to hustle to the location without bumping into anyone or anything.

"You got it", he said with a simple nod, relaxing in his chair as he watched the screen.
Moments later, Andy made his way to the location shown on the camera, only to come across an odd scene. Namely, the doctor discussing with the 'blurry smudge', who he could now see clearly - a young woman with lower-back length, bright purple hair wearing black and purple robes/outfit one would expect to see in a LARP or a fantasy/comics convention, with two live ravens, one on her shoulder and one resting on her raised hand as she chatted with the man. Both of them standing in front of an old, British blue police phone box standing right there in the middle of the store, which Andy had never seen in the store before, and didn't appear on the camera feed earlier, either.
"...-say you were right, not that he's aware of it yet. Who knows... worse answer I'll get is no, right?" the doctor said cheerfully.
"If you're lucky, doctor", the woman said, amused. "If you're lucky. And on that note... my presence is required elsewhere. Farewell", she said, turning around, and leaving. Just, vanishing from Andy's sight. How she had disappeared so fast was beyond him; it was like she just stepped off and hid away in an instant, like a child playing hide-and-seek. Whether she was playing or not, she was nowhere to be seen when he reached the doctor.
"And here's the good samaritan of the day", the man said with his decidedly frequent enthusiasm. "I take it you have unfinished business with me, Mr. Man? ...Go ahead, lay it all on me. I'm all ears, and everything else attached to them."
