Watched it this past weekend and enjoyed it a lot. It has a tough time balancing all the things the movie wants to be considering its place after Endgame, but it manages to land more beats that the ones it botches. I like Holland's chemistry with Gyllenhaal, the kids and teachers are funny and most of the time tone appropriate to the madness going on, although they are too clowny sometimes and both Ned and MJ do a lot with what they are given. Overall a better landing movie than I expected and even if it doesn't have the dramatic potential of Homecoming it also lacks the messy action set pieces that one had, going for a clearer, more readable show. I loved how the surprises worked. Even if I was waiting for the whole Mysterio reveal, it caught me off guard that it was a whole team working on unison, I liked that. Sure, the whole dissonance between how nice he is when things go according to the plan and how fast he turns threaten-your-teammates-villain its a bit jarring, but fleeting. The whole after credits thing with Fury and the set up it's a refreshing surprise and could go in many interesting directions.
