Can't have long legs due to its very episodic nature, but there is nothing wrong with that if each (or most) of the concepts are well done.

Loki’s last episode was a yawner. Liked the tag at the end of the credits though.

Overall I thought the series was good, but I think it was a bit to messy to dethrone WandaVision for me. The long conversation with Kang in episode 6 (which is like 80% of the episode) reminded me a LOT of The Architect from the Matrix - which is not something a show should strive for. If you're a writer and you need to dump a TON of information on the audience in a short amount of time, the second worst way to do this is to put sit your characters down and have one of them simply explain it all to the others through dialogue, while filming it all in shot-reverse-shot. (The worst way is narration, but it's close.) What an awful way to introduce a villain, even though Jonathan Majors did a decent job with what he was given.
The series had a lot of highs, but it was held back by the sheer weight of exposition and rule establishment it had to drop on the audience along the way. Too often Loki felt like a passenger in a series named after him, with his character growth rushed in awkward, inexplicable fits and spurts. The end result was a character so sappy and puppy-like that he'd be unrecognizable to anyone who previously knew him - and all that happened in, what, about 4 days? An eventful 4 days, sure, but it's a stretch.
WandaVision had a ton of mystery and weird shit to establish (WTF is going on, the "Hex", magical children, witch neighbour, she's actually magical, etc) but in the end the mysteries mostly had to do with who she is, and what she was experiencing. Loki's revelations were mostly external: stuff about Kang, the origin of the TVA, meeting Sylvie, etc; and a good portion of his character growth was actually a retread of where the old Loki had gone over the course of several movies before dying at the hands of Thanos.
In these ways, I'm also reminded of the Black Widow film, which similarly pushed it's titular character into the background in service to other characters and setups to be paid off in some other movie or show (but probably movie).
Again, I really did enjoy it, but it was also really messy in parts. The mouse is asking too much of these poor writers.

I loved it, though it may have been for the weirdest off base reasons.
I like seeing Majors since I watched Lovecraft Country, so that's a plus. I also dig, specially as time passed, the whole of the matrix sequels (yes, including that). Between that link and his performance I was on it, but there is also a detail that it's just set dressing (quite literally) that completed it for me: Kang's manor/castle is broken and dusty, and what remains upright it's glued together in golden kintsugi style. Just how that resonates with the scene (and the series) closed the deal for me. It's repairing something without hiding it was broken, it's accepting that things are transient and imperfect, the whole setting informs how Majors' character is going to act even before you see him.

"What If...?" has started airing weekly on Disney+. The first episode about "Captain Carter" is out, and it was... neat? Novel? But not great. Still, I'm curious enough about each different episode that I'll probably watch them all.

I enjoyed it a lot. Sure, it's a simple plot as it was the Captain America First Avenger one, but it's condensed to work in half an hour. As an Agent Carter fan there is also pleasure derived from seeing cartoon Hayley Atwell kick serious ass. With each episode being its own thing that the interest in each one of them will vary it's a given, we'll see.

I'm enjoying the series, perhaps it's a bit on the safe side (no surprises here) but it's nicely done.

The Die Hard vibes on the Hawkeye trailer are overwhelming. Looking fun though.

The "Trust a Bro" moving van made me laugh out loud. They really are going for that wonderful comic book run with a good extra dose of Die Hard to bring it to the people, I loved it.

You're so right about the Die Hard feel, and I'm into it. This might be one of the most faithful adaptations in the MCU, and that would also be lovely. I'm really digging Hailee Steinfeld so far; I think she's going to be great.
Must... not... get hopes up...

Looks like fun. Agree with the Die Hard vibe, so strong! I don't really know who Kate Bishop is and suspect she's been around for decades in the comics. Shows how out of touch I am.

*checks it out* *Young Avengers 1 is a 2005 comic book*
Whoa.
