"Very well... I'll allow that." She said smirking. "But first-" She shot out several spears and sword impaling each of your men several times over.

Professor Moriarty
"......?!"
The redhead glanced at the slaughtered men around her, astonished by how easily the woman had killed them in an instant, and that she had killed them at all.
"...P... Perhaps I have underestimated you. I... thought you were just going to capture them and hand them over to the police... but you may be more interesting than I gave you credit for", the professor admitted, smirking. "...Very well. Shall we go someplace to discuss my suggestions in detail?"

"Forgive me... I have no need for more useless rabble. The ringleader will do fine on her own." She said nodding. "Very well... Follow me to my office... Try to run, or attack me though, and I will end your miserably short life." She said strolling along as her own men arrived to clean up the bodies... The weapons vanishing from their corpses.

Professor Moriarty
"Only a fool would attack you or run away after such a display without a clear idea of how you do that trick with those weapons, and a strategy to counter it", Moriarty pointed out, shrugging. "Threats are quite unnecessary, especially given how you just accepted to let me go in exchange for my assistance in optimizing your security systems... I am more than happy to uphold my end of the bargain", she said simply, following her along, raising an eyebrow at the corpses.

She said nothing else leading you upstairs and throw several hallways to a luxury penthouse suite fit for a Middle Eastern Sheik. It was both a living and work space dominated by a massive 10 x 12' satin sheeted bed, and a 20' diameter hot tub.
"Now... Before we begin I must ask something of you." She said opening a portal in the ceiling and dropping... a solid gold pole directly to your left fully supported by the floor and ceiling.
(Moving this to PM.)

You arrive back on the ship, and are on your way back to Italy where you got the transport ship from.

"...Well, that wasn't an absolute failure", the redhead said to herself. "Holmes... I will not forget that name anytime soon", she said to herself, smirking, as she rested on the side of the ship. "I'll find you."

Professor Moriarty
The criminal mastermind sat in her armchair, looking outside for a moment, thinking things through. Frowning, she turned her computer on and did her best to run a fairly extensive research on the name 'Holmes'. Any single little detail, little thing she could find that seemed like it possibly could be relevant, she examined in great detail. 15 in Technology +4 from Genius; all 19 to extensively search any info I can get on said person.
Also asking my informants to contact me if they know anything about Holmes.

You search, and find Holmes is connected to some sort of anonymous freelance troubleshooter. Basically they are hired or volunteer their services to people, and organizations in various detective based scenarios. The only common denominator is that no one has seen Holmes in person or heard their voice without heavy distortion.

Professor Moriarty
"I never heard of you before and yet you would interfere with my plans without even being hired for it... and no one has ever seen you in person nor heard your voice. More and more fascinating", the redhead said with curiosity.
She looked among the sources she had consulted, checking to see if she could visit some of them, preferably close to her office. She wished to speak with more people who had interracted with Holmes. 9 in Intelligence to check that possibility.

You do find one man in New York rumored to have some contact with Holmes... a Mr. Mathew Murdock, Attorney at Law. Also all but publicly known as the vigilante Daredevil.

Professor Moriarty
The professor committed the lawyer's coordinates to memory, before looking for something else. She hated to admit it... but this encounter with that so-called Gilgamesh woman had very nearly cost her her life, and/or her whole facade as a respectable individual as far as the world knows. Not that she would mind the latter so bad, but she still had plenty of uses for her apparent good nature in the public's eyes.
The thing is, she had no way to counter people with superpowers in an unexpected face-to-face encounter. For all her intellect, she was only human, which meant she was technically speaking vulnerable to most superpowered individuals in a straightforward fight. Now, she was getting close to her thirties, and would probably have developed powers already if she was a mutant. So she had to think of 'powers that could potentially be learned'. And as far as she could tell from what she knew, that meant magic.
Now, she hated the idea of committing crimes using magic, as it was 'too easy' in her mind. But if it could at least provide her with a means to defend herself against superpowered beings, then at least she wouldn't automatically lose when faced with one. 15 stones in Technology +4 from Genius to do some extensive research to try and find a potential magic teacher.
10 in Psychiatry to read between the lines of what I do find to filter the charlatans and wannabes from people who seem to be actually potential sources of learning.

Professor Moriarty
Moriarty considered her possible choices for teachers. On one hand, Doom was the only one whose location was precisely known for sure, who was - more or less - a socially respectable individual (while Doom had had several clash with various heroes in the past, he was still the official ruler of Latveria, and held an ambassy within the United States, which meant at the very least basic recognition), and happened to be one of the smartest people on the planet, making him likely the most tolerable to be around for the criminal genius.
On the other hand, Doom was still a ruler of a country and likely had little time for a student in the mystic arts. Still... he was probably the easiest to contact out of the four, and given her own resources, chances were she would be able to speak directly to the man as opposed to just dealing with some nobody who had never spoken with him before. Worst that could happen... would be that she'd have to try her luck with one of the other three next. 9 in Intelligence, as well as using my assets from my Resources, especially my status in the scientifical community, in order to get in contact with Doom, or failing that someone close enough to him to make a difference as opposed to just talking to some Latverian phone company employee.
