"Not sure. I guess I have to return to my home of Kaldea or they will have me hunted down, and killed."

"They'd... do that, and you still call it 'home'?" Kaori asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It is part of their laws. Any who break the law or flee are to be executed by their own families." She explained.

"Well, no offense, and forgive me for being blunt, but their laws're bullsh*t from my viewpoint if that's true", the brunette pointed out. "Sounds like an evil, oppressive government to me. Are you really happy there?"

"No... But I still have friends and family there. If I tried to flee they would be sent to kill me, I can't just force that burden onto them."

"Maybe I could help with that?" the brunette pointed out. "I could do a lot of things to ensure that wouldn't happen."

"Okay. What do you suggest?" She asked.

"I guess that depends how much you're okay with me changing some things. As far as I'm concerned, I'd at least re-work the country's law and the people's understanding of it to reflect the changes in favor or more reasonable ones. If you absolutely want the laws to remain the same, I could make a more minor change, like 'the laws do not apply to you', or 'they don't know you exist', or something along those lines, although I imagine the latter would not be fun if you still have friends and family over there."

"You can do that? I mean of course you can, but you'd do that for someone you barely know?" She asked happily.

"Well... for starters, you helped me out just because my mother asked you to", Muramaya pointed out. "Second of all, I dislike unfair and cruel laws like these. I think if there's something unjust or unacceptable going on, and someone has the power to stop it, that person has the responsibility to do it. So... I'd do it for you, and I'd do it even if I didn't personally know someone suffering from the situation."
She nodded. "Still, you haven't told me how you'd prefer for me to deal with the situation."

"Well if you can make it so that the law is changed to be less strict I wouldn't mind that." She said.

"Hm. Then, how about I make it that people are free to come and leave as they please as long as they have not committed other crimes against the country, in which case they will be pursued by the authorities, not their families and friends?" Kaori suggested.

The young goddess smiled, nodding. "As you wish", she said, using her powers to make it so. 25 (Sup-Ef) in Omnipotence (God-like Powers) +5 from Absolute Will; 18 to alter the laws of Caldia as aforementioned along with Caldia's knowledge and understanding of them (although Dorothy will retain knowledge of the change so she knows I did do it), and 12 to make the change essentially permanent.
Using Cosmic Awareness if needed to make sure I'm changing the laws of the right country, lol.

You change the law as needed with no problems.
