Cerberus
The young man smile.
-Is that so? -
A distraction? To what? He wondered what this place was, he felt like he knew this place, and yet, he couldn’t remember, which was ironic considering the nature of his power was related to memories. His own or that of others and he was sure of one thing, once he saw something, he never forgets it, so why did this all feel so foggy? Magic by all account, but then again, he had just fall into a magical wardrobe then into a world of doors and now he was stepping into a park filled with fog.
As the girl went off into the distance to where a child’s cry can be heard, Cerberus looks up a bit surprised as she hold over what seems to be a lollipop. He raised an eyebrow as the candy as a weird feeling about it, but then simply shrugged slightly.
-Oh, is that the kind where you get the mystery flavor? Like in that book about witches and wizards? -
He ask almost innocently as he take one of the two from the little girl’s hand. He looks at it for a moment, then sit near the slide, and look at the girl.
-Hmm...where is this place...its funny...because its so familiar...but I cant seem to remember...-
He said thinking aloud. Then looking back at the child, wondering why she was so amused. He hadn’t open the lollipop yet, and was waiting for the girls answer.

"You should, after all you pass it every day. But then it is the first time you have been here so perhaps you might be confused."
The statements are completely at odds with each other but at the same time you know somewhere in your gut that both are absolute truth.
You look around again and a flash of insight hits you. This is the play area a block or so down from your apartment. But this place is never misty like this sure visibility can get bad but bad enough that you can't see the edges of the area, no. More over where is the noise from traffic, the kids playing, something is off.
As you look around you notice the girl unwrap her sweet and pop it into her mouth and for the instant you see it unwrapped your skin starts to crawl. The lollypop is the exact colour and texture of a child's grazed knee, from the pink skin to the blood oozing from the wound it couldn't be more perfect.
Something here is very very wrong.
The girl looks at you calmly and expectantly apparently content to let you take it all in.
"There are lots of names for where you are right now." She says after a moment. "Neverland, Otherworld, Wonderland, Arcadia, someone even called it Oz at one point. But none of those truly explains where you are. Perhaps you could say you are 'Through the Looking Glass'."

The young man give a small frown when he sees the lollipop colour and decided to simply let it in its wrap for now. This place is indeed the park not so far from home. Strange how this place seems so close and so far at the same time. It feels eerie, and he could feel some shivers crawls up his skin, but then again, his own fae blood wasnt so humanly normal either, and for that, he didn’t feel so out of place.
From the second book of Alice in Wonderland huh...Some kind of in-between perhaps?-
He wonders, then turning his attention to the girl.
-I’m sorry, I havent asked your name yet, how may I call you?-
He ask softly with his usual charm.

The girl smiles in what is obviously mean to be a sweet way.
"You can call me Grandmother." She say removing the lollypop briefly from her month.
With that she skips over to a climbing frame that she clambers up onto, hanging upside down from the bars.
Jones chooses this moment to reappear, jumping up, seemingly out of no where onto the centre piece of a seesaw right next to the climbing frame.
The girl looks at him surprised then reacts as though he has spoken to her.
"He's fine, not a hair out of place." She says to Jones, seemingly slightly indignant.
"Oh very well." She says after another long moment, jumping down and turning to you. "The treat was freely given."

Cerberus
The young man nodded simply, as if Grandmother was a normal name for any young child, but then again, this place was not normal, neither was the little girl, her lollipop or even himself. Normality was somewhat something he never had really known, so he just felt at home, more or less. Thats when Jones came around, out of nowhere and apparently worried about him from what he understood.
-There you are...-
He let out, smiling at the cat as the girl climbs down from the frame. The treat was freely given? Was she referring to the curious candy she gave him earlier? He wasnt sure he wanted to taste it yet, but anyway. Nobody ever told him to never accept a candy from a stranger. As he had been left on the steps of an orphanage when he was just a babe.
-That is very kind of you.-
He said to the girl with a simple nod.
-Speaking of...I am looking for the grandmother of a friend...colleague, well, she seems to have walk this place a while ago...maybe you’ve seen her? -
Assembling in his mine pictures and images of Christopher’s grand-mother that he could have seen in his house or while going around the memories, he draw a magical portrait of her in the air with his magic. Hoping he might get some answers.

'Grandmother' laughs.
"Oh, no, that mortal has never been here, though I suppose she is one of the few humans that could have gotten here unaided."
"She wasn't very interested in the Fey, poor thing. Far too busy avoiding her fate."
She skips back to the swing and jumps up into the seat.
"I don't know why you are interested in her. You have far bigger problems to deal with."

-Avoiding her fate? Well she seems like the kind of person to be dealing with big project...-
He said, but as she mention his own problems, he simply tilted his head on the side.
-I do? -
He asked, not really worried about his own situation as he should maybe do. He wasn’t really scared, nor did he feel like he should at the moment. Perhaps his own fae blood was making him forget about those kind of things.
-Hmm...well she did walk that big yellow road in the middle of the space thing...-
He turned back to grandmother.
-So this is the fey kingdom? I’ve only followed John here, but sure is, maybe you can tell me more about the bigger problems that I have?-
He ask, sitting down on the ground, taking in a bit more of the sight around him then back to the child swinging back and forth.

"Well the war of course. Humans are about to declare war and the Fey will respond in kind."
She stops swinging to look at you seriously.
"You didn't think that destroying the creature in your basement wouldn't have consequences did you?"
"We placed it there as punishment for humans breaking their contract with us. If humans aren't willing to live with their punishment they will have to be punished another way."
"And you are caught in the middle, they will need your blood after all."
She smiles, almost as though she is looking forward to this 'war' she spoke of.
"But yes, this is the Fey realm, well part of it anyway. Is it not what you were expecting? It doesn't have to look like this, but I thought you might be more comfortable with something familiar on your first visit."

Cerberus
At the answer, he looked a bit surprised, not quite taken aback, but still. A war? Wasn’t that a bit too much? He knew tough that the Fey didn’t took lightly to contract breaking as they were laws among them. Break your oath and you and yours would suffer for eternity.
-I see...-
This was a troubling matter indeed. He wasn’t aware of the reason the being had been placed there, but still. There was also the fact that he was in the middle of it all, but for what reason?
-Why would they need my blood?-
He tilted his head, curious. Was it because he was half like them? Perhaps, but still, what would they do with it?
-Can’t we avoid a war? I mean...If only a few individuals are beings punished...will the punishment only stop when they are dead? And then, what will happen to that entity? I guess there is always more to think about when dealing with these kind of situations hmm...-
He said, thinking aloud. But what to do now? Telling the others to leave the creature alone? He had no idea if they already removed it or not...
-Well, this is a real head scratcher...can’t we settle this peacefully or are you so bored you’d rather have a war?-
He asked, looking back at Grandmother.

Grandmother looks at you and grins.
"You know my daughter was right, I do like you, because of that I will answer your questions. They will need your blood because it is the blood of a Fey. War can be avoided, but it will require certain conditions being met. If you wish to destroy one of the things we planted you will have to plant three in return."
"The contract was with the humans living within the lands of the Miagani so the beings will have to be planted within those lands."
"Do we have an agreement?" She asked standing up and holding out her hand, apparently for you to shake.
Your attention is suddenly drawn back to Jones who gives you a look as to suggest that what is being done here is very very serious. This is a pact that is being suggested and you know agreements are taken very seriously by the Fey so this could have consequences.

The young fey listen to the answer. Then wondering who that granddaugher could be. Someone he knew maybe? But he had already asked a lot of questions, but still more burned his lips, yet, he would need to hold them in for the moment. Listening to the option, he wondered if he was in any position to actually make that decision, also, there was a lot of implications around that.
He looked at the extended hand.
-Hmm...Then, before I agree, I would like to know three things! First, where are the lands of the Miagani? How do we plant those beings of yours....and finally, how long do I have to do it?-
He asked, tilting his head to the side. Avoiding a war was probably the best option at the moment, because a war with the fey would be the worst end scenario here and he wanted to avoid gaining their ire. He needed a bit more information on the contract before actually accepting it. The terms seems simple enough, but there was always more under the cover. He waited for Grandmother’s answer.

"You plant it as you would any plant, you put it in ground with enough feed that it might sprout and grow strong. The lands of the Miagani were and are the city of Gotham. You shall plant them within a year and a day of the original's death."

It seems simple enough, he was not botanist, but if they needed only the same regular soil and no magical words of power to be put in the ground, seems like it would be fine. Then again, killing one and getting three more seems a bit unfair. And his curiosity kept going.
-I see...so as long as the other live, the count down is not started. Tough...-
He was thinking here. He eventually sit down on the ground, wondering.
-Couldn’t there be another way? If we remove one and we plant three, that doesn’t solve the problem, I understand humans have betrayed you...Ain’t there a way for us to mend that? I mean, those who did are gone now ain’t they? Or do you mean to punish even unborn generation that might come across your plant?-
He would have been too quick to accept it, but then, this might be the only offer he could have with them, yet, he wish there was another way and so he was ready to take a chance.

Grandmother laughs. It's a sound that sends shivers down your spine, like someone mixed a child's laughter with nails across a chalk board.
"Of course there is another way silly boy. Return to the way of peace. Remove the city from the lands we share. We require nothing else. Humans agreed not to pollute the shared lands with iron or stone. In return we allowed them to live there in peace. Humans built their city on our lands breaking the contract and bringing down the punishment. We chose not to punish the Miagani directly as they were conquered by those they called 'the white man' so had little choice, so our wrath fell on those that were at fault."
She smiles at you. The more you speak to this being the less human she seems. It is as though someone took something alien and predatory and wrapped it up in a child's skin. From what you have seen she doesn't even seem to think as a human would, though she seems to understand humans well enough.
"The fact that they do not 'believe in fairies' is their own failing and no concern if ours. Believe in the oncoming tide or not, stand in its way and you will drown."
She grins and holds out her hand again and something in you knows that this is the second chance you are being given. You are unsure how many more chances will be offered.

Cerberus
He listen, looked at her. Who was she, he couldn’t really tell, but he understood that they didn’t did what they did in order to defend, protect their own land. Part of him agreed, part of him didn’t care, at this point, he was mor fey, then human, but no matter, he had a job to do and right now, this was the only way he had, so he might as well take on the offer, even if it implied putting three more of these things over the land, but at least he could chose the location, and perhaps he could find a way before the year ended to change the fate.
-I understand...-
He said, extending his hand to her and shaking it. This was a very important moment, he knew, but this was all he could do for now. If this could avoid a war, then it was better this way, and if his comrades would destroy that things without knowing of the consequences, better then to prevent it.
-So within a year of the death of the first, three more must be planted within the land of the Magiani.-
He repeated, to make sure he had everything right.
