Definitely not expecting infinite stones. That would make me run a mile. Just need to figure out how to define deity level powers.

Like I said, you can. I did not say magic was off limits, just that I'd like for it to be preferably limited to gods of magic if possible. Actually, it'd make sense for you. Freya is a goddess of magic.

Definitely not expecting infinite stones. That would make me run a mile. Just need to figure out how to define deity level powers. Just so you know, as this isn't the Marvel Universe but essentially ours with gods... even someone with Telekinesis AN 5 seems pretty freaking cool to a 'mere' human. Which is why I feel like the stone count is adequate enough until challenged by someone with greater expectations, lol. EDIT: Not saying TK 5 is the best to be expected either. Just that, say, Iceman from Marvel could easily feel godlike to people not in the know in this universe.

She is? Well that's what I get for watching one anime for research and nothing else.

She is? Well that's what I get for watching one anime for research and nothing else. A quick google search gives me this: Freya is the Goddess of love in Norse mythology, but she is also associated with sex, lust, beauty, sorcery, fertility, gold, war and death. She's got some magic in her specialties, yes. Of course, you guys are making your own versions of those gods, so maybe your Freya will be a lot different than the 'actual' one, but if you make her a goddess of magic, it will work well with her 'official' lore.

Yea, the Google search won't give you the nuances. Friend of mine is an ordained priest of Odin so I know a couple of bits about norse mythology. She was v heavily into Seidr magic. Taught it to Odin. She was known as the Witch Queen, queen of the Valkyries and saying her name was supposed to be bad luck as it drew her attention.

Like I said, you guys aren't necessarily like the 'official' ones from the legends. For all you know, 90% of the myths are just stories made up thousands of years ago by the people who believed in you as gods in order to explain things they didn't understand. The aforementioned google search was merely to help Rowlet possibly get more ideas for his concept than the one anime he got his idea for, since the wiki of it has very little information.
Point is, make the gods you play as 'yours'. It's your version of them, in a modern setting, with very little but other gods to challenge them (at the moment). So have fun coming up with what your version of your deity is in said setting, lol.

I don't really mind the stone count as long as you help me with that part Manah! Hoots and Janus, I'm sending you good vibes and energy (even if I don't have much myself, I must admit ). November is one of the worst month for me in the year so I can relate. But don't be discouraged by the system because there's one thing I'm sure : the game will be a lot more fun with both of you in it!

Yea, November isn't great but to be fair this entire year can just go in the bin. It's just been one stress after another. Hopefully 2020 will be better.

170 stones is actually a TON of stones.
I'm more used to rolling with 40+10 and making it super efficient. LOL.
But I wouldn't mind playing Ares come to earth, god of war or maybe a trickster god like Loki who just loves to make things 'interesting' even if it's at someone else's expense.
BTW can we have superhuman stats, ie is a stat > 10 an option for gods?
Can we use things like super efficient strength. IE if you pay extra for super efficient str of 10, when you put 10 points into a strength action you get 5 stones free from the general pool.
PS Is bullet-proof considered a minor invulnerability?

170 stones is actually a TON of stones. I'm more used to rolling with 40+10 and making it super efficient. LOL. Ah, see? This is more the response I was expecting to get at first, lol. XD I already have a Loki in the works, namely Bazingirl's character, but Ares would certainly be an interesting addition. Even in the corebooks, there was never any such limit, be it for gods or mutants or whatever. The Maestro has 11 in Strength, and multiple characters have proven themselves capables of feats far exceeding the D&R chart. As far as I'm concerned, yes, absolutely, a character could have ANs/MNs over 10. Just so you know, on 'average', gods have at least 5 in all Abilities, with Physical abilities (on average again) usually in the 7-8s ranges (Intelligence is not as commonly super high as the other stats). There are gods with less than 5s in an ability or even two, but they are rare and seen as fairly weak in said ability by other divines. And there are, indeed, WAY stronger, faster, and so on gods. Hercules would have formidable strength, Mercury would have stupid speed, and so on. Yes. Applying it directly to Strength means the Ability bonus and the Ability on its lonesome always benefit from it, but Actions do not unless they have the advantage as well. No, it's considered around 3-5 levels of Toughness with No AP 1 at least.

We're not yet ready to start, Janus. Take your time, and if necessary, you'll come in later. But you got time, we're still working on the CADs as it stands, lol.
