POKEMON ACADEMY Prologue - A New Beginning The pokemon academy, who hasn’t heard of the most famous learning place in the whole region of Elorah? Not so many. A place of learning where people and pokemon meet and find partners and friends. Companionship grow among the students as they learn under the watchful eyes of the 4 masters and the cohort of teachers that ensure that everyone acts in respect with the academy rules and code of conduct. As such, the academy is divided into 4 houses led by 4 masters. The Masters are powerful trainers who’s strenght is renown throughout the country. As the student gather and enter the academy for the first time, they can see the beautiful gardens and the trees which are taken care of by the students belonging into the House of Fairy. As part of their learning, they take care of the training field, gardens and medical care. Developing new healing techniques and relationship with pokemon is part of their daily lives. Peaceful and hard worker, they can often be seen working closely with their pokemon as they seems to have somewhat of a natural relation with them. Further in, as you enter the school, the students can see the numerous classes in which books and parchments can be seen everywhere. Somewhere in the massive building can be found the library, taken care of by both the students from House of Ice and House of Ghost. Both are well verse in the research field, tough on different aspect of it. While House of Ice is more into finding new strategy in battle and more efficient ways to use moves, House of Ghost is turned toward the mysteries of the world and pokemon alike. Sharing in with each other’s informations, they build a stronger knowledge for all the students to see. Of course, such finds are looked over by the masters and the teachers. Lastly but not the least, House of Fire, fierce and strong. They make a strong force of tamers, with a strong reliability on their instincts to battle with their partners. They share a powerful bond with their partner pokemon and love to challenge themselves and others to new height. They also oppose House of Ice in many ways but they often can be seen battling each other in order to test themselves and improve, wits against might, and seldom are the results less then satisfactory no matter who wins or lose. Not only the academy possess many fields of training, it also give the students a deeper understanding of the pokemon world and how both the people and the pokemon coexistence is so important. It is on a sunny day, as the sky was blue that the new recruits arrived at the school, drives in by a long cart, a rapidash in front to take them on the Ever bridge that gave access to the academy grounds. With their letters of approbation in hands, they made it across the bridge and were lead to the inner court of the castle where blankets had been layered on the grass, ready to received them. Some older students where guiding everyone in, as they waited for the 4 masters to comes and greet them. A new school session was about to start and of course, no one wanted to miss the Welcoming ceremony. There was about 45 new students around, all excited for their new adventure to begin, among them could be seen Drevis, Tony, Ida and Rei. Everyone was ask to find a spot to sit and discuss at their leisure until the 4 masters would arrive. ——————————————————————————————————- Welcome everyone to Pokemon : The last stand! Hope you will enjoy this as much as I enjoy creating this world! Have fun!!

Ida stretched her arms up to the bright blue sky, a few almost healed scratches and bruises in her physique. The ones that took care of her did recommend further rest, but she had recovered nicely with their help and wasn't able to endure being confined in a bed when the day was so warm and pleasant. She had heard some explaining about what was she supposed to do there, some house she belonged to, but she didn't pay much attention. With her last mercenary job gone horribly wrong, no coin to her name, and her gear badly damaged all she could do was to earn her keep with her raw strength and she hadn't been in a health condition to do that. There was also the issue of the one that dragged her unconscious body there, saving her life as far as Ida was concerned, so she owed them even if she hasn't been aware of the details of her rescuer.
"What have you got yourself into this time?" Ida wondered out loud, looking to the sky. She had earned some new scars and now was ready for the next step, whatever that may be. Ida stretched a bit further, not accustomed to having been bedridden for long, still feeling a bit stiff after so many days without action. She probably could just go, and perhaps someone else in her situation would do that to avoid getting roped into an obligation, but Ida could be headstrong when it came to do the right thing. She owed those people her life and trying to pay then with her service was the right thing to do, she had no doubt about it.
She found a spot to sit, even if she couldn't help but rock back and forth full of nervous energy. Hearing discussions around she was starting to grasp where had she ended, even if it was a place Ida had heard about she knew next to nothing about it. "Hi, I'm Ida" she introduced herself to the nearest person, extending a strong hand to shake. "I guess that we are all new here, but after a quite unfortunate fight I've to admit that I'm finding myself particularly lost in this place" she added with a goofy yet honest smile.

Drevis sat cross legged in a corner under a tree as a pair of Pokemon warbled and chirruped excitedly at him. His face on the other hand was one of irritated resignation.
He clearly didn't want the attention they were giving him and was doing his best to ignore them in the hope they would go away.
The first, a four legged green creature with tendrils and a flower like growth on its back nudged Drevis repeatedly with its head whilst the second, a blue skinned turtle like creature settled down next to his leg.
After a few moment the green creature clearly decided to take another approach and reached out with its tendrils, briefly wrapping them around Drevis and then trotted off looking very pleased with itself carrying a sheathed hunting knife.
Drevis looked distracted as the creature scampered away, did a double take and jumped to his feet sending the blue creature tumbling.
"Hey you little gren! That's my... Give that back!"
And with that he started to pursue the creature as it nimbly dodged and weaved its way through the crowd.

The past few weeks had been a nightmare for "Toni" having to stay out of sight and quiet in his own home, waiting, hoping his ruse fooled everyone, watching his funeral procession, and finally ending up here with dyed hair and these itchy peasant cloths. Toni had little to be joyful about, knowing people would be sent out to kill him should he be discovered and brooding over the fact it seemed as though his enemies are indeed right about him. He was some sort of witch, likely damned from the moment of his birth. Over the weeks he had tried to practice, with little to no success he had no earthly idea how his power worked he simply knew it could kill, the very thought caused an icy dagger of fear to lodge in his stomach.
Toni paces around the groups watching the antics of the seemingly happy people around him, he is here first and foremost for safety, and this place has to be one of the safest in any realm, save that he is here to figure out his own powers as well as find allies to use as both sword and shield. He has signed up with the house best suited to secrets, he has those in spades and plans on exploiting any others he can discover. He finds it very interesting that the other house he had considered shares resources with his own, perhaps he can use that to his advantage.
Lost in his own thoughts he nearly trips over a couple laying on the grass and decides to find an inconspicuous corner to observe the rest of the people until they are given further instructions.

A quiet sigh releases from Rei's mouth.
"The mission begins today." She stated getting up from her sleeping area. She gathered all the things she'd need for her first day of the academy. "Current mission details; Arrive on time and report to Master Ion." She repeated to herself, finishing gathering her things. She was already stationed close to the academy thanks to the Light Wardens, so the travel to the academy would not be too far a journey for her. Still, she wanted to arrive early.
Walking to her destination she did not allow any distractions. However, she did take in the geographical details about the surrounding area, in case it would come in handy for future missions. Upon arriving at the school, she also took in any key details she'd need to know for future references.
Now, in a designated waiting area, she would have to wait until the academy was greeted by the four masters.
"First mission objective completed. Now, awaiting Master Ion's arrival." She said standing in place, waiting for the four masters to arrive.

Everyone was talking, wondering when they would befriend their first partner and in which house they would end up. For some, it was obvious, for others, not so much as the rank in had not yet being filled. It wasn’t the case for everyone as some students had already being arranged to be set in one or the other of the Houses. The ceremony usually included the housing of the new students, but sometimes the students could take more time to really choose which house they belonged to and wanted to learn with. It was by no means an obligation to choose on day one, but certains classes and other privileged would only be given to those who had chose they’re house, as each had different point of view, strengths and weaknesses.
Ida extended a hand to the closest person near her, a young girl with long black hair tied back in a knot on her head, and bright green eyes. She turned her head toward you, and simply nod.. She was probably around 14-15 years old.
-Oh, yes...I suppose...I’m here because I want to be a healer, like my mom.-
She gave a shake to your hand, but no where as strong as you. She was small, yet there was this strenght that could be sense in people who pursue a goal.
-Do you know in which house you want to go? -
She ask, giving some look around, in case the masters had arrived, but they were no where to be seen just yet.
As Drevis took notice of the thief and started running after the little bulbasaur, he had a bit of trouble making it trough the small crowd, until he was out of it after a few of the new students gave him a few looks of annoyance at the disturbance. Drevis made it to the line of the gardens as the pokemon suddenly stopped in front of another tamer, which lowered down to take the small beast in his arms.
-What have you done this time?-
It was a young man with long gloves and boots, both covered in dirt as he seemed to be just out of planting some sorts of seeds a bit further back. The pokemon was holding the knife proudly and the young man took it from its vines, looking at the now out of breath Drevis.
-Is that yours? I’m sorry about that, he seems to have taken a liking to you. My name is Hans, you new?-
He ask. It was apparently an older student, and the bulbasaur seems to be his. The pokemon nudge his head against his tamer, then gave an happy look toward Drevis with a small growl. Hans handed the knife over to you. He looked in his early twenties, his blond hair also covered in dirt, while his eyes were a clear blue.
On his side of thing, the people around Toni seems just all eager to start this adventure, but his own thoughts comes round, dampening any fun it could have brought him. Finding a spot away from the crowd. For a moment, it feel like he is on his own and can find some peace after tripping on the two people who somewhat shout at him to watch his steps. The rest is waiting patiently around, he might have catch a glimpse of one boy running after a bulbasaur toward the gardens, otherwise, nothing else really stands out.
-Too much people...-
A voice call next to him. It is then that you take notice of a small girl that is right next to you. You havent noticed her because she seemed to be blending in the shadows. She has long grey hair, falling over her face, her eyes are as steel, while her skin complexion is very pale. A small pokemon that looks like a stump is hanging by her leg, looking at you curiously. If it wasnt for the breathing of her chest, one would think she is a ghost.
While taking in her surroundings on the way in, Rei could take notice that the academy was in itself, almost like a city, as it was in itself standing along the mountain line, only accessible trough a long bridge known as the Ever bridge. If there were other access, it wasn’t known to her, but it was clearly a possibility, yet she wasn’t aware of their locations. Other then that, the castle looked pretty big and had many towers around to explore. As she just stood there, waiting for her superior to enter the place, people were taking place around her, sitting down as they also waited and started talking.
After a while, a voice rings not far from her.
-Maybe you should sit down...the masters won’t be here before a while...-
It was a young man, older then her by a few years. His ginger head seemed almost fluffy, while his violet eyes seems bright in the shadow his falling hair was making. He was wearing all black and white striped clothes and looked to be pretty calm, yet there was something a bit eerie about him.

"Hmm?" Rei took notice of the person addressing her. His suggestion would prioritize comfort it would seem. Rei looked at the man silently, and then nodded to him.
"That is not an issue. Taking a sitting position would not be optimal for my awareness of my surroundings. Additionally, it would sever my reaction time to any potential threats. Therefore, I prefer to stand for the time being. Thank you for your concern." She nodded to him, still standing in position waiting for master Ion to come.

"By far we should wait till order is reestablished, and their numbers thin"
Toni is not antisocial so much as trying to stay out of the way, avoiding everyone is not going to be possible and at least this pale woman seems to be of his own house.

The girl talking to Ida was smaller and younger, and yet there was a fire in her eyes that rivaled her own. Maybe her calling and talents were far from Ida's, it not opposite, but she sure had a goal way more clear than Ida. A small sigh escaped Ida's lips, that girl had her own mother as an example to follow while Ida hasn't seen her own or her siblings in years, enough to cloud the memories of her face. Ida's mother was exemplar for sure, a model of hard work and sacrifice, but hers was in no way Ida's path to follow, at least as far as the young mercenary was concerned.
"House? Errr... no" Ida admitted, not aware of much of what was going on. In her brief and feverish periods of consciousness while her injuries were healing she managed to hear things here and there, but she didn't know how they related. "I recently got into a fight I barely survived" she explained, pointing at the almost healed bruises and scrapes here and there. "But someone from here rescued my ass. I think I heard something about being a boss of some house, but I have no idea" she shrugged.

"Drevis... Yea new..."
Said Drevis panting, accepting the knife back and bending over in an effort to catch his breath.
"I swear these things are... gonna like me to death... one of these days."
"Still at least yours isn't breathing fire or trying to drown me."

As Rei took notice of the young man and answer in the most logical way she could, it made the young man give a small smile. Nothing offensive, more like an agreement to your statement. -You are a funny one...my name is Cero...what’s yours?- He ask, apparently wanting for a conversation. There was yet to be any sign of master Ion, nor any of the others as people were still getting comfortable on the ground. Everything seems peaceful so far. To keep you company, he stood up as well and as he did, you notice how tall he was, not so extremely, but the fact that he was pretty skinny made his heigh seems somewhat weird. Thats when you notice that the air around him seems somewhat really cold for some reason, despite the sun being high in the sky and there being not much wind either. As Toni answers, the young pale woman looks around, then back to him, then simply nod. She doesn’t seems to be much of a social person either. The small pokemon hanging by her dress just turns around her for the moment, as they stay in the shade. -I hope the ceremony start soon...I want to go the library...ergh...- She let out softly, watching nervously around, apparently hoping that the masters would arrive soon, but they are nowhere to be seen The young girl smiled, listening to Ida, and suddenly noticing that she hadn’t introduced herself yet, almost blurt out her name. -Oh!! By the way, my name is Alice! And...about the houses, well, this is the academy, a school for tamers...where we learn to fight alongside pokemon! - She says. -I’ll probably get into Fairy, because I want to be a healer! Hmm... I wonder who rescued you...there are 4 masters of the 4 houses....there is House of Fairy, House of Fire, House of Ice and House of Ghost! - She explains to you. -Soo...what kind of fight did you get into?- She ask, curious. As Drevis finally got back his knife, the young gardener simply smiled, somewhat amused. -Don’t worry about it, once you learn how to deal with them, they are quite the companions...its a matter of understanding them...and this school is just about that!- He said, handing you a bottle of water. He smiled. It seemed like you had a lot to learn around and perhaps a chance to actually find a way to live in peace with these little creatures. -Any idea in which house you wanna be? - He asked, tilting his head. EVERYONEAs everyone was going on about their stuff, they were soon interrupted by the silence suddenly dropping in as 4 people wearing their house Colors were making their ways toward the gathered students. The 4 masters of the houses were finally here. As they got to the front of the group, everyone was getting a bit closer to them in order to hear better and see them. Excitement was in the air as they look upon the group. Ion, from House of Ice, Nahida, from House of Ghost, Aldbert from House of Fire and Elyza from House of Fairy, stood tall and proud in front of everyone, smiling at everyone until silence came in. The young master of Ice stepped forward. His black hair falling slightly over his face, Ion started speaking. -First of all, I wish to welcome you all to the academy, your presence here means that you have been chosen or endorsed by one of us and that your potential has been recognize...- He started, his voice was soft, warm, yet it had the strenght to command. -Non, some of you may already know in which house you wish to be, others may yet not know, do not worry, we are here to help you out about it, each of us will be showing you around the academy and explain everything about each house, you then may check in with the house master in order to complete your registration...Now then, before we begin the visit of the academy, we will answers your questions...- He said. ——————————————————— Now is the time to ask questions, if you have any, before we move on to the visit

The girl looked at the young man, who was not leaving her side for the time being. She wasn't annoyed, but his attendance to her was not mandatory.
"My apologies. I did not mean to come off as humorous. I was merely stating a fact." She said eyeing the boy's height, but also taking notice of the cold aura round him. "I am Rei. Designated as 'White Rabbit,' rank D of the Light Wardens." She nodded to him. "In exchange for that information, please tell me something, Cero. Why is the air around you slightly colder than the general air?" She asked. The cold was something she despised, so she kept invisible caution.
...
Eventually, the masters came. It was an orientation of sorts, so Rei waited silently until she was able to approach Ion. She had questions regarding her next mission duties, but only for he could answer her questions.

"Alongside instead of against... that could be an interesting change" Ida mused, mulling about what the girl had said, smiling when she introduced herself as Alice. "I wonder as well, I was way beyond being able to ask many questions, I barely remember him. I think it was a man... he said something about me being of use" Ida remembered, her memories of the event clouded. "Wherever someone strong fits, I guess" she shrugged, giving no importance to a sorting system she didn't yet understand.
Ida smiled wide, as Alice seemed curious about her exploits and the fight she got into. She liked to share her adventures, even if she wasn't a specially good narrator, but people usually wanted to hear them, specially little kids. Not that Alice was a child, but she had that kind of nervous energy and curiosity that reminded her of her younger siblings.
"I was on a job that I guess I shouldn't have accepted" Ida started. "But I'm not the kind that backs off a deal" she clarified, tilting her head to one side. "Or a fight" she added, leaning to the other side. "Anyways I was left alone facing a Nidoking, and neither of us seemed ready to step out of the fight" she said, looking at Alice's expression. "I ended up losing, that's where I got all these bruises and cuts, but the impressive beast was gone. I don't know what went through his head, I don't have much experience with Pokemon" she confessed. "I did manage to break his horn, that's something I guess" Ida paused, remembering something. "I wonder where is the piece of horn I shattered, it wasn't among my things when I woke up a few days ago" she considered. "Maybe the one that rescued me took it? It could make a nice memento I guess, not everyone is going to believe I fought a Nidoking and-" she sighed, interrupted by the presence of four people, each of them clad in different colors.
The masters of the houses, even Ida could guess that. According to the conversations she overheard while injured it had been one of them who brought her here, saving her life. She wondered which one of them was the one, or if she had misheard something in her fevered state. Ida wasn't one to be subtle about things, so in a normal situation she would just go one by one asking them directly if they were who they saved her, but she didn't want to do that, not yet. Maybe it was because she had found a friend, someone that reminded her of what was having friends about her age like. Too long had she been in the company of older mercenaries, veteran and jaded, and the change was refreshing.

"House..?" Said Drevis, clearly not understanding the question. "Um, I don't know, what's the most secure one? I'd kind of like to spend a night where I don't wake up covered in these things. Oh, and have you got one that's fireproof? That's been a problem a few times"
He took the bottle of water and took sip before handing it back. He then went about securing his hunting knife to his belt, tying the knife into the sheath.
