"Now, you take it easy for a moment", John said, smiling somewhat knowingly as he handed her some water. "Take a deep breath and let yourself digest some of what you got. Right now, I can either help you practice your powers to get you used to them a bit, I can answer any questions you may still have that you don't have an answer to yet... or I can give you my number and send you on your way. Your visions won't go away right away, of course - you still have only accessed a teeny-weeny little bit of your potential, so your mind will still toss information at you which you won't quite be able to use... but eventually, you will master it more and more and your schizophrenia will be a thing of the past... in exchange for way more knowledge than you probably ever wanted, for better or worse", he said, sighing. "If you need my assistance or have more questions in the future, just call. My door's always open."

She looked around then closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The depth and breadth of her abilities flooded into her mind. She could feel them. She knew what they would be like, the feeling of being a table, or a bird, or a tree without needing to try it out.
She gave the water a swirl, causing it to spin in the glass. She knew the water in a way that few others could. Hydrogen and oxygen held together in beautiful symatry the balance of attraction off fractionally so that intra molecular forces caused rippling patterns as the molecules moved. Here and there bright flashes of sodium, potassium and calcium caused the hydrogen bonds to wobble and contort making a sort of ballet in a pattern so intricate it staggered the mind. She wanted despirately to be home with her paints and a canvas. She could be there in less time than it took to drink the water but there were things here that needed asking.
So she opened her eyes and looked at the water as it gently sloshed around in the glass, considering his words absently. Questions, ironically she was full of them, but the idea that someone with near omniscience could have questions brought a giggle to her throat.
She did of course, the nagging irritation of the universe at the end of her consciousness could result in nothing else. But if John was right that would only be a matter of time.
"What happened to the other Archives?" She asked without looking at him.

She could sense him smirking simply upon hearing his voice.
"Already sharp as a demon's claw, aren't we. You're immortal now, and you can basically switch to any other body or thing you feel like, so obviously anyone with the same abilities did not kick the bucket from old age or common illnesses, aye?"
He nodded. "...Ya got that right, lass. Archives die for all sorts of reason. Some of 'em got tired of immortality. Others eventually reached a point when 'the ability to know anything' went all the way up to 'knowing everything', and then they felt like things got boring. Others were not so lucky as to choose their own end. The thing about knowledge is that knowledge is power, and there are those who seek it for that reason or others. Some don't like what they find out, others like it too much and try to take it for themselves. That's why Archives usually have protectors, guardians."

Unlimited knowledge, was almost by definition unlimited power. It was unsurprising that people would want to control that.
No, she corrected herself. Not 'that', they would want to control her. But how would they do that?
Likely they would threaten her family. Though her father would not be easy to threaten, someone powerful enough could do it.
Perhaps her best defence would be secrecy, making sure no one knew she was anything other than human, at least for now. The ability to be anything or anyone was powerful, but obviously there were more powerful things out there. Working out how they would identify her would be key.
"I think I need to know more about the people who would try to control me and how powerful I am compared to them. Also how would they identify me as The Archive?"
She looked over at Nicholas Fisk, her father, realistically the only one in the world she truly cared about. She wanted to protect him, but with her mind still playing tricks on her, would she be able to?
She had just gained almost unlimited power, but ironically she was now probably more vulnerable than she had ever been.
(OOC please let me know when Constantine's spell has worn off so I know when to start applying the challenge again)

(OOC: It has by now, but her newfound knowledge of her condition is making it easier to handle and recognize for what it is.)
Fisk glanced at his daughter with concern, visibly also wondering how he could keep her safe from forces he likely didn't understand.
"Lots o' folks'd like a piece of that cake, that's for sure", John remarked. "Many of them quite powerful, and make no mistake. Your potential may be through the roof, but you're still as a newborn eaglet to the bird of prey you can become. Y'know those guardians I mentioned? Were I in your shoes, I'd get one ASAP. And if you want me to... I can help with that."

Persephone sighed and nodded. She didn't want this but then when did what she want matter? She felt as the magic of Constantine's spell faded into nothing and the artificial calm disappeared.
Twinkling motes of light began in the periphery of her vision. It was normal for one of her bad days. At least now she knew with exacting certainty what they were. Her brain was trying to process the internal stress, the light wasn't real.
Her father was also worried. It was strange that she knew that, but she did, again with certainty. He had always been her rock, her protector, now he was smaller, less, even if no less dear to her. His massive physical power, was now a side note, his imposing presence a detail. She realised with dismay that her own abilities surpassed his, she was now the protector.
"I think we would appreciate an introduction." She said, her face becoming determined.
"And any thoughts you have on who we might be facing would be useful as well. I suppose I ought to know that already, but apparently the universe has decided it wouldn't be any fun for me to have all the answers at once."
"Perhaps i should be grateful."

"I'd think so", the occult investigator agreed, smirking. "...How about I pay you a visit tomorrow with a potential protector, and you tell me then what you think of them. I need to have a word with some contacts beforehand. In the meantime, how about you go back home, get some rest and wrap your mind around all of this? No need to solve all the multiverse's problems in one day."
"I agree", Fisk said, gently patting his daughter's shoulder. "Would you like to go back home, Persephone?"

Persephone looked up into her fathers face and nodded gratefully.
"Yes, please, I am quite tired."
It was the truth, but she knew she had preparations to make. Her art was now a weapon, and she had a fortress to arm.
"Thank you, Mr Constantine, I'll look forward to seeing you tomorrow."
She stood and held her hand out to shake, her mind racing. The possibilities were nearly endless, but they would probably have to start with some statues in her apartment.
