The Human Torch"All quiet on the western front. On EVERY front." he mutters. "Ah well, best keep an eye out." ACTIONS
Johnny gains enough height that he can land on the roof and regularly keeps an eye on the front and back of the building with a steady patrol on foot. Is Johnny landing on the roof of the bakery or of a neighboring building?

Susan Richards turns the walls invisible, while following the trail of her husband's stretchy body up the stairs. She sees a man in the bakery but no one upstairs, nor anything suspicious inside the walls.
The Thing's fat finger pushes a button on the answering machine that plays its outgoing message.
Outside, the Human Torch touches down on the roof of the 8th Avenue Bakery, startling a few pigeons, which fly away.

Thing's eyes widen at hearing that. "What a revoltin' development." He said. "You hear that Stretch? We got some kook makin' bombs here."

Sue breathes a sigh of relief for the moment, but pauses her search when she sees the other person. Maybe he could shed some light on DeCara Electronics.
Is he just a visitor, or does he look like he works here?

Sue breathes a sigh of relief for the moment, but pauses her search when she sees the other person. Maybe he could shed some light on DeCara Electronics. Is he just a visitor, or does he look like he works here? Based on the white apron he is wearing, the man looks like he works at the bakery. OOC: I worked at a bakery when I was in high school and we wore white jackets or aprons on the job.

Then I proceed to enter the bakery and browse the wares for a few seconds, like any other customer. When he asks what I'd like to purchase, I'll buy some fresh turnovers (on the off-chance this turns into a stakeout), and ask something to the effect of:
"Me and the rest of the Fantastic Four were in the area because we received a message that led us here to DeCara Electronics- I was wondering, has the owner been in recently?"
Will I need to make a popularity feat to get more information?

Reed held back, knowing that PR was his wife's arena.

"Yo! Didn't any of yous hear me!?" Thing protests. "I said it sounds like someone built a bomb here!" He tries to warn his teammates.

The Thing's warnings seem to fall on deaf ears. Then again, this office only has one other door besides the entrance. It leads to a lavatory, not a laboratory.
The owner of the bakery, Mr. Sousa, admits to Susan that he rents the upper floor to DeCara, but says DeCara never seems to do any business. "I like you," Mr. Sousa says to Mr. Fantastic. "You stretch like dough."
The Human Torch succeeds at an Intuition roll I made for him (78 if you wish to know). So Johnny can hear the Thing's protests from the office below him... about a bomb.

The Human Torch
"What's that? A bomb? I need to get... oh wait on. Ben is pretty much invulnerable, Sue even more so and Reed can stretch to absorb any impact! if I blaze in there the chances of me setting off some kind of explosive substance are gonna be high!"
He pauses for a moment. "Hey! I'm starting to think like Reed!"
Johnny keeps a sharp eye out for anything else happening but is slightly nervous now about being stood on a roof above a bomb (if there is still one) and not being flames on, or being flamed on and setting one off!
He moves to the edge of the roof and patrols, keeping his eyes out.
ACTIONS
Intuition check every round whilst the others check out the place. Too many cooks spoil the broth and all that.

Ben growls and searches the area on his own. "Do I have to light myself on fire for anyone to pay attention?"

After paying for the baked goods (and checking if they do deliveries, seeing as how there's been rumblings of a tenant meeting coming up), Sue begins sharing the facts with Reed, offering him a turnover as she begins following Ben's path up the steps.
"Nothing suspicious inside the walls- no bombs, cameras, gas pumps, or anything. But if what the baker said is true, then there has to be something wrong here. Why would Doom- or DeCara buy an electronics shop in Manhattan if he's never going to use it?"

The Human Torch doesn't see anyone spying on him, but feels like he's being watched.
The Thing finds nothing dangerous in the office, but remembering that the DeCara Electronics phone number was on the card they found. Perhaps the message was meant to lure the Fantastic Four here.
Mr. Sousa offers the Invisible Girl a catering menu and says he'll give the Fantastic Four a 4% discount.

The Human Torch
Johnny frowns. Something is nagging.
"Flame on!" he says without his usual flair and flies down to the shop entrance to go speak to the others.
He'll find Sue, Reed and Ben and ask "Say guys, here's just a theory, but what if that note and the bomb were just a way to get us out of the Baxter building to investigate and whoever did this is back there doing what they... Ohmigod. Franklin?" he looks at Reed and Sue.
ACTIONS
Fly back down to the others to speak to them...
