War for profit. Murder for hire. Mayhem. Mystery. Intrigue. These are but a few of the pieces of the Immortal Game played by the elite group of shadowy figures making up the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. And behind each gambit lies a tangled web of schemes upon schemes. The goal of the Inner Circle? No less than to shape the world as we see fit!
================================================
Looking for 4-6 players to play new Initiates into a version of the Inner Circle - morally dubious characters with their own hidden, and often self-serving, agenda, brought together by a mysterious patron for reasons not yet known (to them), with the ostensibly shared goal of rewriting history in their favor.
Some notes:
Set in the 1960's in an alternate timeline parallel to First Class and as an offshoot of the timeline created by the events of Days of Future Past.
Strong preference for notable characters in the X-Men canon, whether comics or films, though they don't need to ever have been members of the Hellfire Club in any iteration. May permit original characters or more obscure characters as long as I can get on the same page with you about the pitch.
Although there is no fixed stone count, characters must be Mutants (meaning they are affected by anti-Mutant biases as well as specific powers and technology that work on Mutants).
Pitches should include some indication of what attracts that character to the Club and the Circle and vice versa. Ideally, this will be kept secret from the other players.
Ideally characters should favor subtlety, schemes, and manipulation rather than overt action - this isn't to say they shouldn't be able or willing to get their hands dirty, but this is not a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants game. Try to keep close to the theme of a shadowy organization.
Let's start with RAW and figure out if things need to be tweaked from there.
