If anyone has any suggestions for an actor to play 1960's Robert Kelly, let me know.

I added a small bit about Kate's memories on my last post. That way we don't have to start thinking about who an old Kitty Pryde from a different timeline could know or not, like Hank or Elizabeth for example. Beyond practicalities it also adds more texture to old Kate and her fatalism, so I couldn't help but hop in the Shakespeare train, even if the young Pryde will miss the implications.

I don't blame you! I always try to make at least one Billy Shakes reference if I can get away with it.

Gris How old *is* Pryde in this timeline? It doesn’t have to be an exact match with the real world (Sigourney Weaver was roughly 11 years old), but just so I have a sense?

I'd say about 21, old enough to have been bouncing around with her powers for a while, young enough to make all those rushed and stupid choices I love to make.

Thinking about it, I guess this goes ditto for all of you, but what is Pryde's attitude towards ex-Nazis? Azazel actively engaged Hitler's Reich, but what were the Braddocks and Wisdoms doing during the War? I imagine either they fought in it, or knew people who did, or were survivors of or knew victims of the Blitz? I'm imagining it might have affected them more than it did Hank, who might himself have an interesting take on, say, Mengele. And more specifically what was Pryde's experience like during the War? Does she have relatives who were in the camps? Does she have any Zionist leanings (used in this context to mean support for the existence of a Jewish Nation-State)? If she meets anyone who specifically claims to be trying to hunt down former Nazis, how would she feel about that? *Note: If she's 21, Erik would be roughly 5 or 6 years older than Pryde is, give or take.

Oh, didn't think about that, it's the kind of stuff that I normally take care of as I play when it appears. I'd say that she despises them for what they have done, for sure. Being born and raised in the USA certainly makes her a bit distant, as much as one can be after something so horrible. Being with the more pragmatic old Kate and doing what she has been doing also made her less of a spiritual person, more materialistic one. When she was younger she probably cared more and saw her parents worry, but now the war is over and she has her hands full with the rest of the stuff. Worrying for what she's doing and what could come in the future makes her a moving force, an agent of change that can't look back. If she did... maybe she could end up like Kate, and she doesn't want that.

Just posting a small "Meanwhile" tidbit into the game thread - if there are any questions you all want to ask Shaw or Irene or ways you want to respond, please feel free.

If my math serves me well -- and it usually doesn't -- I imagine her father would have served. Jamie was probably obnoxious as "the man of the house" during that time, even if he was just a kid. Really, mother was holding it down. I think Brian and Elizabeth were babies at this point? With Essex being right outside of London, I'm sure mother took the kids deep into the mansion cellar during the Blitz. They most likely lost family friends. Mother would have organized helping survivors after that point, for sure.
