That's a good question. I think that depends on what you mean by "telepathic".
I want to say a lot of the sources on Morgan's characterization, or at least the ones I'm familiar with both for the literary character and the Marvel character, are at least somewhat vague about what exactly the limits of her powers are. And I think in-character, the stories Peter might have heard, read, or been told are similar in their variation or vagueness. I think most of the sources, both in and out of character, would agree that she's one of the most powerful magic users of all time, and "bewitchment" - being able to put people "under her spell" (whatever that means) is something she is certainly known to do. I think canonically she's also known for her illusions and her ability to astrally project*. She can animate the natural world, and command it to act with its own sapience even when she's not directly controlling it. And, perhaps most relevant to your current situation, she can draw from other sources and places of power.
But I'm not sure if she works the "same way" as, say, Emma Frost might, in terms of her purely mental influence over others. She might have other reasons for believing she knows who you are, and I think she's at least appeared not to be actively reading your minds to figure out why you're there. She also wasn't able to distinguish between Betsy and her double (yet), so make of that what you will.
I've mentioned this to others, but the multiple realms of Marvel sometimes confuse me. Some of the places appearing just in this Issue might be called The Darkhold, Otherworld, the Dark Dimension, Limbo, wherever Azazel goes when he BAMFs between places, the Negative Zone, the Astral Realm, etc. in the comics. And I know that certain characters appearing in this game have ties to certain places that should be separate from others (for example, the Astral realm might be home to, say, Shadow King but not Dormammu). I'll invoke a little of Bellisario's maxim if I effed up what each one is and why the differences are important.
