"Hrmm. Sounds like you have a very good reason to make sure I'm wrong. Make no mistake, Penguin: the only reason I keep you in this gilded cage is so I can still hear you sing for me. Next time I come to rattle your bars you're going to have more for me." While Penguin certainly had some barbed retort ready to peck with, he would make it to the shadows. Batman was already hurrying to the museum, as it stood moving top speed he'd likely only catch Catwoman on the way out, but at the promise of catching her only redoubled his efforts (along with his steadily increasing heartbeat).
======== 3 into Ninja (Stealth specialty) to slip out mid-conversation 2 into Speed to hightail it to the museum

Penguin hadn't specified which of Gotham's several museums Catwoman was headed to, but The Batman kept his ear to the ground, and was well aware of the bounty an as-yet unknown person had put on the Eye of Nanda Parbat at the natural history museum. He hadn't been able to dig up any evidence that the Eye was actually connected to the hidden city of Nanda Parbat, but just the name brought back memories...

The past...
"Hey, Malone," Ben Turner called, using the pseudonym Bruce was using in his travels, "training is about to start, and Shiva has already been ou there for like 20 minutes. She's makin' us look bad man." Turner was a fellow American, also the scion of a wealthy family. Even though he was from the opposite coast as Bruce, being Americans gave them an instant bond, and Turner was a naturally likable man who didn't seem to mind Bruce's intensity.
Out in the central yard was Shiva, already drenched in sweat. The woman pushed herself harder than anyone Bruce had ever known, never holding anything back, never saving anything for later. O-Sensei called her driven, but she was obsessed. So was Bruce, of course, but he had a bigger goal than being the best student of O-Sensei.
The small old man appeared at Bruce's door, smiling as he usually did. "No practice for you two today. Today you go into town for supplies. Remember, the secret of this place must never be compromised. DO NOT BE SEEN."
"Then how we s'posed to get supplies."
O-Sensei dipped his head and left without an answer

The museum was virtually empty. Sneaking past the guard at the door and the clerk at the front desk was easy, but Selina was nowhere to be seen in any of the gallerys. That was when he noticed that the door to the archives beneath the museum stood open, just a crack...
(Head on over to Selina's thread)
