While the Wizard puts on a fantastic display of bravado, the world's real greatest brain, Mr. Fantastic, wraps up the criminal inventor. And the Thing finds himself turning invisible. The threat to the portal has been averted, but the Negative Zone monitors are still jumping off the top of the scale! Something is expending an incredible amount of power trying to force itself back through the portal. Johnny watches the Wyzard and angles himself so he can see the gateway too. If Blastaar comes through it he wants to help Ben beat the bad guy back!!!
He was somewhat glad Reed took charge of the machine - he did build it after all and Johnny had been absent the day he's explained the controls. If he recalled, her name was Jenny... or was it Lucy?

Since Sue isn't certain about her electronic ingenuity, she'll throw up a force field between Wizard/Johnny and Reed to prevent him from interfering.

The Thing becomes visible as Sue uses her force field power to make sure the Wizard remains in Johnny's flame cage. Mister Fantastic succeeds in keeping the portal closed, but Blastaar is still hammering at it from the other side. Mr. Fantastic: Unless another hero wants to make one of these rolls, give me five more Reason FEAT rolls. State before submitting if you will use Karma on any of them. The doors shake as Blastaar tries to overpower the portal security and burst into the Earth dimension. The Thing holds the doors, but the real work is done by Mister Fantastic, who designed the system. All through the struggle, Blastaar crows about how he intends to control Earth and plunder it until nothing remains but a hollow shell. The Wizard tries to run away, but the Human Torch and the Invisible Girl keep him from fleeing. Finally Reed, undoes the damage caused by the Wizard and beefs up the portal locks as to keep Blastaar from being able to make good on his threats. The Thing feels that the doors have stopped shaking. KarmaMister Fantastic spent 58. Thing spent 10.
