The former champion turned professional archaeologist Cynthia kept making her way down the old cave she was in the process of exploring, wearing waterproof, sturdy, pockets galore shirt, trousers, a tool belt, sturdy shoes and long socks, a hard safari helmet to protect her head, plus various tools.
She was exploring said cave because hikers having made their way around the area had reported having found ruins in the area a week or so earlier. And according to her sources... said ruins were somewhere in this very cave. You currently have the following:
-Archaeologist Outfit (+1 defense; waterproof, sturdy, pockets galore shirt, trousers, a tool belt, sturdy shoes and long socks, and a hard safari helmet) -Tool Belt -Various tools (Hammer, picks, trowel, brushes, measuring tape, pens and pencils, etc. Some may be used as +1 to +2 weapons.) -Waterskin -Food rations for 3 days
Also, as a side note, the Pokéwatch can be used as a smartphone, in case I didn't mention it. Feel free to add that in its description if you so please.

"Careful Dragonite. Try not to knock over anything important." She warned her most recent partner/pet project Pokemon as he followed her deeper into the cave.
"'Nite" It chirped.

(OOC: Also forgot to mention but you have a flashlight, obviously.)
The duo advanced further in the cave... sure enough arriving in front of what appeared to be a doorway to some sort of ancient man-made stone structure of some sort. A former tomb or temple, built within the stone directly in the ground, or perhaps buried over centuries? ...In either case, it was in a surprisingly good state. The entrance was blocked by a series of huge rocks, clearly too heavy for the blonde human.

"Okay. Dragonite, can you move those rocks. Carefully."
"Drag." It said slowly picking up and moving each rock carefully.
7 in str to clear the doorway.

Dragonite was able to successfully remove the rocks, clearing the passage into the temple/tomb/whatever it was.

As they made their way inside the stone structure, it became more and more clear that this had once been a site of significant importance for whatever culture had built it, although she was so far unable to figure out the nature of the latter. The stone and architecture were both of significant quality, and complex engravings and decorations could be found all over its corridors and halls. Eventually, she came across what appeared to be a large passageway, blocked by two heavy doors. Locked, obviously.

For all her curiousity, she was unwilling to simply break down the doors to see whatever was on the other side. Instead she searched for an alternative way of opening them.

Her patience was soon rewarded; she discovered an alcove in a nearby wall, within which an old level could be found. It was dusty, but rust had not damaged it too badly. From what it looked - and felt, were she to touch it - she was fairly confident she could move it if she gave it a bit of vigor.

She did her best to try and pull the lever without breaking anything.

The double doors creaked loudly as they slowly opened to allow access to the large room behind it... within which she found a large metallic sarcophagus, covered in inscriptions and symbols. Interestingly enough... the inscriptions were not unfamiliar to her. They seemed to be inscribed in a variant of a very ancient language she had studied a few years back.

"This is... familiar." She said studying the characters and making notes as needed to see what these were.
6 eff in Archeology to try and translate if possible or at least record the characters down for future study in the worst case scenario.

Her examination proved fruitful, she was able to roughly translate the inscriptions on it. It more or less read:

Cynthia wrote down the translation. "Looks like something worth looking into. I'm gonna do a final sweep and then we can leave." She said to Dragonite.
6 eff in Archeology to check for anything else before we go.

Other than the still closed sarcophagus, there was nothing else in the room.
