I posted this in the General Section already but i had not seen the part of the board here.. sorry mods It can be found here: [glow=red,2,300] Marvel Universe RPG Character Generator[/glow] I left the user much freedom to remain it useful for those which don't want to go 100% by the rules. If you only get a grey box:You may have Java 1.3 installed but need 1.4. You can get the latest version here: Automatic Windows InstallManual Download for other OSI have a Windows and a Unix downloadable version of it, too. I will upload them soon and post a link. The displaying is optimized for the Windows version, so in the online version some text may be capped.

I'd love to check this out but it doesn't seem to work. I get a screen with a few line (list of things to do?) but that's it. I've updated my java. Maybe the link is broken?

OK I got it to work, and it is pretty cool.
Will we see a more complete and up to date version?

Wonderful resource. As soon as I get an internet connection at home, I'll be all over that!

My only complaint is that it doesn't have any material from either of the secondary sourcebooks (X-Men or Avengers). You can easily replace things not recognized by the tool with items of the same cost (or Personalized Actions) to even things out, though.

Well, you do need to consider the age of the generator. I'm not entirely sure when the other books were published but there's a good chance that it was made before at least one of them. If anyone wants to go ahead and try updating it (God knows I don't speak computer well enough to do that), go for it.

If anyone wants to go ahead and try updating it (God knows I don't speak computer well enough to do that), go for it. If it is indeed that old, that would mean that it was flawlessly done, wouldn't it? My only complaint is a minor one. It's a great asset.

Its a great program, still would be nice if there was an updated or downloadable version of it though. Even if it used an editable file format to store the abilities so that you could add your own to it. It's also too bad that he posted under a guest account, otherwise we'd be able to message him. Still worth bookmarking though.
