Brainstem isn't the only one who's interested in it for Mac. I love your program, and it's a huge help considering I don't have most of the books (my GM helps me with my characters), but I have only Macs. So...please make it for Mac. Please?

Really awesome program, but its missing the 2X Damage option for PA Energy weapon modifiers.
I am trying to add the feature in using the ModBuilder, but I'm not having much luck.
EDIT: Ok, got the hang of ModBuilder and created the missing options.

I find an error Modifier -> Photographic Memory (Cost 2r not 66w) Can you please tell me exactly what you did to get the error so I can recreate it? Also, are you using any mods? skyeraptor59: Porting the code for Mac is a lengthy and involved process unfortunately and I do not right now have the time to dedicate to such a venture. If my schedule changes and an easy port solution becomes available then I'd consider it.

Got my new comp. and downloaded the program. It works fine (as it usually has), except that when I want to export my character, it opens up notepad but gives me a message reading;
Cannot find C:\Program Files (x86)\Stainware\MURPG Character Builder\Characters\<character name>.txt.file
Is there a way to fix this? I'm super lazy and being able to export to a file and then cut and paste is way easier than actually typing crap myself ;D

Cannot find C:\Program Files (x86)\Stainware\MURPG Character Builder\Characters\<character name>.txt.file That's an odd problem to which I regretfully do not have an immediate solution. I do have a couple preliminary questions that will help me widdle down this little oddity. -First, can you confirm that 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Stainware\MURPG Character Builder\' is the correct path into which the program is installed? -And are you saving your characters into the default 'Characters' within the above path? -Can you confirm the existence of the file <character name>.txt doing a basic search? -What version of Windows are you using? -Did your previous computer also use a 64-bit version of Windows? -Finally, was this installed on a fresh install of Windows or was it reinstalled on an existing Windows installation? For some reason the program appears to be looking for the generated text file at a location it obviously isn't. I need to determine whether this is a registry issue or a permissions issue - or some other annoying problem.

Stain, I'm having an issue getting the program from the file hosting site. It times out every time. Can I either get it emailed to me, or maybe find out what's up with the hosting site? I'd appreciate it, I really want to try this creator.

I have really enjoyed this program and used it many many times. Thank you.
Recently however I opened the program and got this weird error that said something to the effect of "charstruct file cannot be opened because someone else has exclusive use of it". Moving past this error I found that the program still worked fine, but all my saved characters were gone. I can make new ones and save them and have access to those, but all the old ones are gone or hidden or something. I haven't deleted anything from the program file ever. Any idea what this is?

Yesterday, I finally decided to use this. Problem? I have no idea how to work the Mod Builder to use stuff like the Spidey Guide or others like Energy Batteries. Maybe this has already been addressed. Anyway, could anyone tell me what I am suppose to click/do to make those actions and modifiers usable?

I got this thing working Compatibility Mode (well, it was working before, but now I can get it to extract to text files again) again, and I've been using it a lot again.
I just wanted to say thanks again, Stain. I love this program.

Thank you for the kind comments; I'm glad the program is useful to you. Your problem makes me think that it has something to do with changes in permissions. Have you recently changed your Windows user profile, such as using a different user account or moved profiles?. Anyway, could anyone tell me what I am suppose to click/do to make those actions and modifiers usable? I do not have the program on this computer so I will attempt to reconstruct the procedure from memory: First, mods should be placed in the Mods folder (not necessary, but better for organization). Within the program, click on the 'Edit' menu item and then 'Loaded Mods...'. In the dialog box, click on 'Open' (or maybe 'Load'?) and then select the file which contains the mod information you'd like to add. Make sure you don't have any characters open or else the program won't let you load any mods. Hope this helps! I got this thing working Compatibility Mode (well, it was working before, but now I can get it to extract to text files again) again, and I've been using it a lot again. I just wanted to say thanks again, Stain. I love this program. Thank you for the compliments; glad I could help out the community. I'm sorry you're having problems. What operating system are you using that you are required to use Compatibility Mode? Are you running 64-bit or 32-bit? Something must have changed in a system variable that has broken the text export function. Does it not even create the text file?

I'm not exactly sure what the problem was, it just wouldn't export saved characters to txt files. I'm really not worried about it though, it works great in compatibility mode, so no worries.
If I'm remembering correctly, the problem was related to Windows 7 somehow, but it's not really something that needs fixing at any rate.
