DENSITY/MASS SHIFTING
Cost = Action Number + 3
Description
Allows a character to increase or decrease his bodily density/mass/weight, while still maintaining normal movement ability. Apply one stone for each stone of mass/weight increased or decreased. Similar to Growth, you can maintain your altered mass/weight at will for free, and can revert back to normal mass/weight for free. No ability bonus is allowed, and this action cannot be improved by lines of experience.
Each stone of extra mass/weight reduces Flight (if purchased) by -1, and increases Toughness and Striking by +1 each. Each stone of reduced mass/weight increases Flight (if purchased) by +1, and grants a +1 modifier to leaping ability. You cannot reduce your mass/weight below 0.

This Action was designed around Growth, and has a number of similarities... hence it's similar cost. Quite useful for instant defense, or for aiding other characters (for example, you cost less to fly or throw). However, it's not without it's problems... getting stuck in soft sand, crashing through floors, and being blown back by slight gusts of wind are all issues you'll need to expect.

- -2 to Cost Level if you cannot increase mass/weight
- +1 to Cost Level for Intangibility: while at mass/weight 0, you
can choose to become intangible (i.e., Phase Shifting) for as
many panels as your Action Number - +3 to Cost Level to be able to alter the density/mass/weight of
other objects at a distance (range 2). The alterations for all
affected objects, yourself included, cannot exceed your Action
Number. Other objects gain bonuses, but cannot be made
intangible.
