I don't personally find much use out of this one, but it can be handy. I only wrote it up as a conversion from the classic TSR game.
PROTECTED SENSES Cost = 1 red stone/option x Modifier Number
Description One or more of your basic senses are protected from attack (such as a blinding attack). Gain free stones equal to your Modifier Number to your Resistance or Defense against attacks that target the protected sense(s).
Options [/li][li] Protected Vision (two options) [/li][li] Protected Hearing (two options) [/li][li] Protected Sense of Touch [/li][li] Protected Senses of Smell and Taste
Comments This Modifier may not seem very useful, but don't discount it too quickly. A blinding or deafening attack can incapacitate you faster than you think.
Rule for Modifier Box: [/li][li] Protected Senses, (+X) stones to Resistance or Defense against attacks on (insert options) [/b]

Well done again. The cost is just like Enhanced Vision, a wise move on your part. Why should Protected Vision or Hearing cost more, though? After all, Protected Touch doulbes as pain tolerance (and maybe prevents Stun at the right level), while Smell and Taste .... um, well, I can see where these are fairly useless unless you're going up agin' the superb Skunkman. Still, any one protected sense should not cost any more than an Enhanced Vision power, IMHO.
Also, maybe one could get all four at a reduced cost, like 1 White x AN. Whatcha think?
A useful Mod for those with enhanced or otherwise vulnerable senses, and also appropriate for Armor/equipment types. Man, Marvel needed more guys like you on the RPG staff!

There are bound to be more blinding and defeaning attacks and circumstances than the other senses. Hmm...good take on Protected Touch, I hadn't considered that angle. How would you imagine we could write the system for that? Skunkman...sounds like another challenge, Beyonder. Buy three get one free? Cool. Why, thank you! Just drop a hint to Evan Jones for me, eh?

Hmm...good take on Protected Touch, I hadn't considered that angle. How would you imagine we could write the system for that? I'd say that such a character would simply not be stunned at 2 Red Health, unless the Red Stones in damage from the last attack exceeded his Protected Touch AN. This Power could also be combined to resist torture, Pain-causing Powers, etc. Tempt me not, lest ye feel the wrath of mine awesome cheese! One hand washes the other, buddy. I'll talk to Evan for you (we're on a first-name basis, you know, Evan an' me ), you ask Jennifer Lopez to return my calls! (All I want is just one feel, and then I'll be happy, I swear!) BTW, good call, Wayne. Pheremones, and maybe any other breathed or ingested irritant or poison. It's a bit of a stretch, but why not? Tear gas, Green Goblin Gas Bombs, Toad's digestive emissions ....
