Does this power exhist in any of the books? if not - what do you all suggest for creating this power? I'm looking for an Alter reality power similar to Proteus' (Ultimate X-Men). Thanks in advance

Hmm. Two ways of going about this: Hex Spheres at 10 with an "area effect" for something a little less predictable. Another angle: make it as a Mastery with a +8 "of great power and scope" and +5 for "unlimited create/manipulate," so AN+13 (equal to an action like Power Cosmic or Lifesaving.)

I feel like such a truly limitless power should cost +15 or more, but maybe that's just me.
Besides, why would you really need a write-up of Reality Manipulation? If you want an NPC to have this power, it basically just a plot device, since what the GM says goes. If you want a player character to have this power, what in the cosmos could possibly be a threat to them?
Anyway, +10 levels at the very least, plot device/GM approval at most.

Well, isent it basicly Power Cosmic or Mastery of Cosmic Energy? Maybe even a Mastery of Matter... But i would go with what Dorkknight said... 8+5 for the basics... If anything els is wanted (forceshield, forceblast, ect), that can be thrown in...
But what kind of resistance would appeal to such a power? A targets Durability? Or is this so way out that theres no resistance at all?

In Guide to the X-Men there is a modifier that grants Immunity to Reality Distortion...
I would say to anyone else without this modifier it attacks the Intelligence ability if a reality altering attack where targeted at a specific individual...

I agree with Neros on this one. One of those or Mastery of Matter with unlimited create/manipulate. Any would work, really. They all basically allow a character to create anything from nothing and mold the world around them.

How about Mastery of Reality?

What would something like that really entail, though? All the other masteries are a mastery over something that can be either quantified or qualified. Mastery of Reality would really be nothing more than Sorcery, correct?
It just gets a bit too complex with that, I'd imagine. What constitutes reality, you know? With a Mastery of Matter you at least know that you're able to do anything that a Master of Reality would be able to do, but the title serves to explain more how its being done. If you think about it, by using Create/Manipulate with Mastery of Reality, you would be able to create an alternate dimension. Maybe that explains all those damn time-lines, though. In order to be a comic writer, you must have Mastery of Reality with unlimited create/manipulate at an AN of at least 8...
Makes sense.

Can Mastery of Matter Manipulate Energy or Time?

Can Mastery of Matter Manipulate Energy or Time? Nope. Pretty much limited to matter.

Mastery of Reality could, though. That's my point.

Could Proteus effect time, though? I'm not very versed in comic knowledge, mind you, only in what I've seen on TV and the movies, so I'm not too sure the extent of his powers. I know he can do pretty much anything, but that's about it.
