Hey, does anybody know how one would go about pricing God-Like Powers? It's in Loki's profile (in the Avenger book I think?). Anyhow I was just wondering b/c I wanted to make a character with powers similar to his. Thanks.

It looks a lot like Asgardian Sorcery (AN+2) but by another name.
As a sidenote, does anyone else find it odd that Loki took so many magic actions without having Mastery of Magic? I guess when you're a god (well, a very short giant adopted by gods anyway) you don't need to follow the rules.

Good point, I was just trying to find a way to grant a character of mine God-Like Powers w/o actually having him be into the whole magic thing, maybe have him be like an extremely powerful, extremely weird mutant. Thanks

Well, God-Like Powers could very well be Mastery of Magic and Asgardian Sorcery combined into one Action Box.

Good point, Brainstem. Pretty close, but there are a few differences.
1. No Magic Blast. (He has it seprate, and it doesn't need a round of prep.) 2. God-like powers makes no mention of prep time, either, but I suppose that's what makes it 'God-like' instead of just 'Magic' 3. Healing added (It's cheap enough to just pay extra.)
Also, although no mention is made of several Asgardian Sorcerer's powers like Love Charms, Navigational Magic, Talking to Animals and/or Trees, he still could have them, but he doesn't really need most of them, anyway. (Asgardian Sorcery includes a lot of wierd things, but they'd probably make a lot more sense to me if I'd ever actually read an issue of Thor.)

So, what would be a fair way to price out the cost do you guys think?

Actually, it says: - Shape change: Abilities can = AN - Imbuing objects or beings with specific powers [up to AN] - Healing, magic, etc.
Technically he could do any magical action I guess. Here's a good question for you: What do you want God-like powers to do? You don't have to stick to the options here, the rules are just a guideline. These powers seem an awful lot like a mastery, so treat it that way.

Oh, I don't know, I just wanted to make a freak with a one size fits all power, one whom could pull out some majorly awesome martial arts skills, but then when those fail pull this out and take care of business.

Then you might consider Power Cosmic.

Ah, that's a bit too pricey and I know it's a novelty, (b/c so few players have it) but it wouldn't really be that great of a novelty when he's fighting characters his calibre of power.
I like your little message under your picture, that's cool.
Cue the Jaws theme, I'm chompin'.
Nice.

If you have a kind GM, Hex Spheres can be something good to have in its place, then.

Thanks, does anybody actually know anybody who's played somebody w/ Hex Spheres? What have they done? It's been quite a while since I've checked that power out.

I played a Witchcraft character that took full advantage of the free Hex Spheres that come with the action. My GM was a kind GM and basically let me get the desired result without all of the excessive planning panels.
What I did was... turn thugs into slugs, eliminate the hold of gravity in an area sphere, cut a whole in the ground, and I think turned guns into some kind of goopy possibly-food substance.
Hex Spheres basically lets you do anything you want to somebody as long as what you're doing doesn't directly effect them. You can disable a person by speeding up the passage of time in a certain area, which the enemy could be within, but you can't just say "Make him old." Everything else in the sphere would also age rapidly.

Yeah but without preparing, things just don't turn out the way you want them too. You need to spend panel, and 1 stone of preparation for each stone spend on the sphere. so to get a desired effect on a single person, you would have to spend 2 panels and 2 stones to prepare, and 2 more stones to cast the sphere. Despite Brainy's claim, 1 sphere can only affect one person. I'm playing a character with modified Hex-spheres (Probability fields) in Gene Nation, although we haven't come as far as actually using our powers yet.
