Yeah i agree, or at least make it once per issue or mission because sometimes you end up with each scene being more than an hour apart and then this ability would be realllllly useful.

can you expand on the variable cost idea You can do someting like that: 2nd Wind Modifier Cost = Durability Number +X for characters with energy based on Durability Modifier Cost = Intelligence Number +X for characters with energy based on Intelligence Where "X" is the number that you think is appropriate to make a good pricing for this power. For me, +1 or +2 seems fair.

I think that this is a great option. I almost think that it should come standard with every character. Just about every hero or villian has demonstrated this at some point.

I cleaned up comicfan193's text for easy cut & paste:
Second Wind Modifier Modifier Cost = Durability Number +1 for characters with energy based on Durability or Intelligence Number +1 for characters with energy based on Intelligence
Description Second Wind allows the character, once per issue, to instantly regain his total energy reserves.
Comments This modifier simulates a character’s ability to bounce back at a dramatic moment, or to illustrate a new insight when solving a problem.
Rule for Modifier Box: • Allows instant recuperation of total energy reserves once per issue
My two cents: I think this should be limited to characters that really embody the concept, like Captain America, Picture Cap getting beaten badly by Nazis; he somehow marshals all his willpower by thinking about the American flag or how Bucky died or something equally sentimental, then he fends off the Nazis before passing out. Or Mr. Fantastic's eleventh-hour inspiration that allows him to build just the right device to send Galactus running. And then he passes out from mental exertion for a number of panels equal to the total number of red stones in his energy reserve.
The player should have to describe exactly in detail what just set off this "Second Wind." Makes for more comic booky fun!
Giving it to everyone is okay as long as it's used dramatically and as a last-ditch, and should require passing out afterwards just like in the comics.

One thing, though: the clean-up specifies a cooldown of "once per issue", whereas the modifier as written states "once per day".

My mistake. How long is a day in MURPG (in panels, pages, etc.)?

A day is 120 panels in the D&R chat i think............... well i just checked the book i was way off it's 3'000 panels for a day
I'm not sure which works better per issue or day. my issues usually last more then a day and it made since to me that they could use it after they had some rest. but it would work per issue as well
Ether way Thanks again for the comments N.
