I'm fond of new advantages/disadvantages that make an overly common action or modifier your own.
I posted other options for defensive actions/modifiers here:

I didn't see this one anywhere else but I doubt I'm the first to think of it.
Reactive
Your defensive abilities are highly adaptive, adjusting to different energy types and better protecting you.
Applicable to the following actions:
~Force Field
+2 to cost level to nullify 2x and 3x damage from attacks. This will also nullify 2x and 3x damage from mental or magical attacks if you have bought "works against mental attacks" or "works against magical attacks" options respectively for your Force Field.
~Energy Absorption/Reflection
+2 to cost level to nullify 2x and 3x damage from energy attacks
Applicable to the following modifiers:
~Energy Defense
+1* to cost level to nullify only 2x damage from energy attacks
+3 to cost level to nullify 2x and 3x damage from energy attacks
~Toughness
+2 to cost level to nullify 2x and 3x damage from energy and magical attacks
~Magical Defense
+1* to cost level to nullify only 2x damage from magical attacks
+3 to cost level to nullify 2x and 3x damage from magical attacks
Reactive may also be applied to armor.
All actions/modifiers can buy Reactive at a -1 to cost level if you have Prescience OR you already have "Artificially Intelligent" on the modifier OR *the advantage only activates after you suffer an attack of a the energy type. *These cannot be applied to the "nullifies only 2x" options for Energy Defense and Magical Defense.
*For example a 2x damage plasma blast would only have its 2x damage nullified after you had defended against the un-nullified blast. This only applies if the defensive action/modifier was "hit". It doesn't count if you dodged out of the way.
Let the critiquing begin!
