I was wondering if it would work in marvel universe to mimic the DND plot structure.
DND has this great structure with tavern and dungeon and dragon and treasure. Lately I have been experimenting with something similar in my city based street brawler campaigns. You start with the tavern, which is where you get adventures from. Let's say I write my character Nightwish with a Rape/Abuse Counselor Specialty in her social skills. This is her tavern, she will listen to the women and find out about a serial rapist or battering husband with a dangerous attitude. She goes on the prowl and finds the danger this guy is into. This dangerous area is the battle ground and dungeon. The dragon is the final encounter in the setting. Now the treasure is a collection of enriching actions. Usually in marvel this is a little information that blows the players mind the big reveal, a denouement that leads to a greater problem widens the characters scope of responsibility and challenges their abilities ie Shoot-out with Abusers suppliers reveals strange new drug distributed by the Billionaire Boyz. Later you find out that Rapist or battering husband is getting treatment for the new drug which you found and it makes men particularly aggressive against women. He's in jail, she's free, but what about all the other women that might be suffering at the hands of men taking this drug? Your treasure leads to the follow up.

Sounds like a Marvel adventure, especially one in the Power and Responsibility area.
