I was thinking about what it would be like if by some strange plot device the age of heroes came about much later than in the Marvel comics. Say... about 500 years?
(This is a bit like 1602 but in reverse.)
Would it really be much different?
Well, powered armour would probably seem quite normal.
I've been figuring out some character concepts for a very futuristic game. So far, Cap America, Wolverine, Tigra, Plantman, Hank Pym and Luke Cage have all reached the concept stage.

Wolverine redesigned as: "Eternal James"- James Hawkind, a mercenary with an adamantium sword and the ability to reconstitute himself even if his very atoms are scattered. (They just spring back together). James Hawkind is not a mutant- his powers are the result of alien technology. Every time he has to reconstitute he loses his memory.

Plantman redesigned as Samos Smith, a scientist who was sacked for being insane. (He was investigating the possible sentience of Plant life.)

So is it basically the superheroes displaced 500 years or have all the supervillains been around for 500 years and the heroes are just now showing themselves? Sounds cool, though, either way.

It's like everything has been moved forward in time five hundred years. I don't think I'll include the same alien races though.

Thinking of your characters, I could see a great "showdown" style effect - Cap America vs. USAgent, one genetically engineered, one a Powered Armour character, both vying for the top dog position in the Military Police or something.
