I'd like to see anyone here prove that Optimus or Megatron can lift over 100 tons. Remember that 100 tons is a friggin' space shuttle. I've never seen any evidence that their strength is that great. Obviously, they're stronger than humans... but I don't know that they're THAT much stronger. G1 Episode 15 Optimus lifts anoil tanker.

An oil tanker is not NEARLY as much as you apparently think it is, in terms of weight. 100 tons is A SPACE SHUTTLE

I've got this comic where Megatron fights Iron Man in a souped up version of his armor (on the order of Hulk Buster Armor) and Megatron puts down that armor. After that Iron Man comes out in his regular armor and Megs is clearly portrayed as being superior to Iron Man's strength. Prime and Megs seem to be roughly similar in strength so I figure that 10 is appropriate at least as far as marvel is concerned but it could go higher in my opinion.

As I said in an earlier post... according to his official stats, G1 OpPrime could lift 3,000 tons (considerably more than 10 Strength). I've just never seen him perform any feats of strength that made me think he was on that kind of magnitude... but apparently he was.

I believe Grimlock was supposed to be second in that department. I believe someone mentioned Brawn. Brawn is the strongest of the smaller Autobots. I am not too sure how his strength is in comparison to later generation Autobots especially the Gestalt Robots like Superion and Defensor, or for the matter Metroplex who was like a city/fortress complex in his other form. Thats just not true.
Grimlock is stronger, Brawn and Huffer are stronger (and they're tiny!), Ultramagnus is stronger... I'm sure there are others but I can't think of anymore that I know for certain were said to be stronger than Prime.
Oh... Jetfire and I'm almost certain Ironhide as well *nods*
The gestalt Transformers were definitely stronger than Prime, all you have to do is watch an episode of the 'toon or read a few issues of the comic book to know that.

I'm actually picked that line up from what I remembered from the old Transformers Universe Comics (think Marvel Universe but for the robots from Cybertron of which I had copies) which are in turn based on the little cards they had at the back of the boxes of the toys themselves. Grimlock being number two to Prime in terms of Strength is from the his entry in the Transformers Universe. Prime's own toy as well as the TU comic, gives the line of him being the "strongest and wisest of all Autobots". Ultra Magnus came out much later (about the time the first movie came out). But I recall him having a strength of 9, based on a 1 to 10 scale (My brother had that one ;D). Brawn and Huffer had a score of 8/9. Basically it is robots like Prime, the building complex/base/city transformers and the Gestalts that had strength of 10. Megatron as well, who in a Transformer comic took down Predaking (the coolest looking Gestalt IMHO) by himself. Predaking being sent by one of Megatron's rivals to destroy Megatron. MadCap

Uh... if the cards said that then the information on them flew in the face of everything that was actually displayed in the comics or the cartoon (which were, admittedly, separate continuities)
Optimus Prime got picked up and chucked around like a rag doll by numerous people, and it was outright stated by Ratchet that Brawn was stronger than Optimus in BOTH.

How much does an oil tanker weigh then?

I googled this way back when you originally posted, I can't remember for certain but I think I came up with something like 60 tons. The maximum weight for any hauling vehicle in most states is around 84 tons.
