Hello, all. I've been away from the forum here for a good while, but I ran across something recently that I wanted to share with you. I'm sure that many of you here are already familiar with HeroMachine. www.ugo.com/channels/comics/heroMachine2/heromachine2.aspBut I recently ran across this website: fabricadeherois.blogspot.com/ The art is in the style of Bruce Timm, who is best known for his work on the animated Batman and Justice League cartoons. It's got a minimalist and stylized look to it that's a nice alternative to HeroMachine, which is stylistically eclectic and often produces rather cheesy looking portraits. Unfortunately, the site is in Portuguese (I think), so it might take some fiddling with to figure out what buttons do what. It's fairly intuitive, though, and similar enough to HeroMachine that it shouldn't be too difficult to navigate. It's pretty nifty though, so I thought I'd share it with the community! --------------------------------------------------- Edit: I threw together some portraits with the program just to give an example of what you can do with it. Didn't take too long, and they're pretty easily recognizable I'd say.

Thanks, but I think I'll stick with Heromachine. At least it's in English, so I don't have to bumble my way through, trying to figure it out. This one has a lot of options, but that doesn't mean much to me when I can't read them.

It's awesome, but as Kaimontfendo said, it's hard to navigate around when you understand nothin' in portuguese. Darn.
I like the portraits you've made.

I highly recommend the second site. I'v played with it alot, and you can get some REALLY great looking heroes with it... In my opinion, a bit better than Hero Machine.
And if you play around with it, you quickly realize what button means what. So it doesnt matter that its in another language.

So how do you get the character once you create him, I mean I can't find an option to save the picture?

You have to do a screen capture, then paste the picture into a program (I use "Paint" if you're on a PC), then you can crop it and all that good stuff.

Comicfan has it right. The fact that it's in Portuguese doesn't even matter. Change it to English and you've got the perfect hero creator. You can even move things around to adjust them properly. Want a man holding his own head? Done. Seriously, damn near perfect. My only problem with it is that you have to refresh in order to get a different pose and there aren't many female poses. Though I don't think I'm exploring things enough.

True, but thats only with the newest they released. The other version you were stuck in portugese. This new one though, Pope is dead on. While the pose may not look as good as the other version, the moveability and resizing options really helps customize alot.

I wanna say I've seen a cartoon using that particular style, the new version uses, but I can't remember what the cartoon was.

He was using the old Fabrica De Heroes. That's the poses they had.
