quite frankly, it's really cool to come on here and see all the enthusiasm and all the gaming and how great everyone is at roleplaying. It's even better to be a part of it. I'm looking for a game I don't care what it entails or what time it is done everyday, i'm extremely flexible. I just want to get involved and jump in. I prefer DC to marvel in the sense that to me dc is more realistic with their heroes then marvel.
I would really LOVE to play HL's joker from dark knight and as a player it would be a challenge to take his personality and put it into a different scenario then what the movie gave but I will do it. I'm fairly new to the game, but in order for me to learn I need to just do it because thats how i learn, through hands on.
Why the joker...I've played everything in rpgs, mages, rangers scions, heroes, pokemon, transformers, villains...but the one thing i havent done is the joker. He is his own class of character and to any player and dm he is a challenge to work with. I accept this challenge and I really think I can pull it off given the opportunity...

You won't get to play The Joker, specifically, but check out this game that I'm trying to get started. It's basically playing as supervillains who, for some reason or another, are just terribly ineffective. Expect to get beaten by some egotistical, jerkface superheroes for a bit until you guys come into your group (gain LoE's) and actually manage to pull off acts of super villainy. The tone is light hearted/silly, so Joker wouldn't really fit in, but I'm sure you could model something similar if you want. I've already got 5 applications (which is the max I'm going for in the game), but a few aren't totally decided just yet.

I've looked into it and im semily interested but i can't come up with a really good concept for it, i mean like i have a few concepts in mind like, an offshoot uncontrolled gambit who explodes everything he touches, or the joker with just as much insanity but without the know how to control it. for the second i dont know how i would rp it as much as create it idk im just loking for something i can just jump into.
maybe not with the joker, ive been doing a lot of thinking about what id be able to play and quite frankly Im one of those all around players who can play anything. I'm just looking for a game i can just jump into. I have this like I call it gamers hole, theres something, i have this inspiration to fill the void but i dont know how to.

Good luck with that buddy, most people apply for games around gere instead of just "jumping in"

The easiest way to get in on a game is when GM's post here for either a new game or recruiting for an old one. We have a lot of active members so the wait shouldn't be too long.

There he sat behind his desk in his office tapping his black combat boots against each other with boredom. His badge sat on the edge of his desk just as he did these days. There wasn't anything going on out there, in sector x. He sat here, day in and day out waiting for someone to call in with a homicide, or a problem, he'd even settle for a minor theft.
He didn't like times like these, where, in the mutant world nothing was goin on. What more could a police officer accompolish then he had, two weeks and no crimes, no nothing. Lucas sat impatiently behind his desk staring at his phone wishing it would start ringing off its hook.
What had him more at discomfort was no word from the x-men, or xavior for that matter. He knew that at the institute for higher learning there was always something going on. Even still, he couldn't leave his post, not yet. He turned his head and the blackened M permanently pressed on his left eye gleemed in the moonlight.
Bishop wasn't a man for sitting around, he was the head officer in the homicide task force of the X.S.E. His proper title, he referred to himself as "the guy they called when things got messy". Lately there's been a lack thereof, nothing to do but patrol sector x and hang about the office. Even his men were ancy, he doubled their patrols just to give them something to do, can't say it'd last long, nonetheless it kept them off his back.
He lept up out of his chair with frustration and made his way through the barracks to the locker room. He made his way past all the locker with the different names and titles until his own caught his eye. Lucas Bishop Homicide Captain, he pulled it open and geared himself up. Tossing on his familiar black leather jacket, holstering his x.s.e hand laser pistol side arm and grenades.
He again made his way through the barracks to the front, grabbing the pen dangling next the the clipboard labeled Out Sheet . He checked his name and marked the time then made his way out of the front doors into the mutant slums of new york city, Sector x. He made his way around the building and opened the locked gates into the garage and climbed into his cruiser.
shoving the keys into the ignition, Bishop turned them starting the car, VROOOM. He peeled out into the small mutant section of the city. From here, all he continued to do was drive around surveying the people with resentment. One day we wont have a sector x and these people wont hold a label, "Muties", he snorted with disgust eyeing his M tattoo..."There has got to be something I can do, somewhere..."

OOC: Here's something to do. IC:
Kim made her way down the street. She felt the hair on the back of her neck rise, it could be one of the mutants. She started to hurry faster. Suddenly, there was a man in front of her. She stoped, suprised. "I need you to carry a message for me dearist." He said, softly, like a gentleman. He was dressed in a nice suit, and looked rather out of palce in the rundown neiborhood.
However, she did not have time to think about what all this could mean, before she felt a stabbing pain as he impaled her on his cane. "Thank you." He said as she fell to the ground, dead. He quickly took out the note he had already written, pined it to her chest, wiped his cane off and dissapeared into thin air.
The note was simple and to the point. It read, "I'm back Bishop. Your move."

((The bishop im using is just the basic class from the x-men guide))
He just kept driving, looking forward, watching all the familiar and not so familiar faces get on with their day to day lives. He had to admit, as much as he needed to do something he was happy that sector x was safe or at least for the moment. "Attention all officers potential homicide in the alley of 35th sector x, unidentified female, appears to be a young high school student, please respond."
Bishop flipped the sirens immediately, pulling his car up to speed as he grabbed hold of his radio. "This is officer Lucas Bishop responding", He couldn't send out any commands until he could see what the scene actually looked like. He continued to speed through the area until he pulled onto 35th parking his car sloppily, drawing his laser sidearm, running towards the alley to soak in his environment.
He made sure to maintain awareness, he of all people knew all too well that there were many who wished him dead. He wouldn't walk into a trap without knowing what was around him at all times.
stats
He doesn't have any perceptive stats so assuming i can do this and that im first officer on scene,
4 stones in general awareness to notice anything out of place 7 defense- 4 (shifted) + 1 (ref dodge) + 2 (X.S.E armor)
End 4 health 8 energy

Everyone was inside and out of sight. Whoever, made the phone call was not volenteering themselves. The girl lay on the gound, face down in a pool of dark red blood. A white square of paper was pinned to her back with two lines of writeing on it.

He Pulls his comm off his chest, "Officer Lucas Bishop reporting, we have one down female by met description requesting perimeter be established in a 100 foot radious of the scene."
After giving commands he slowly approaches the body holding his gun out in front of him expecting to be attacked at any moments notice. Without touching the girl, he glances down at the notation carefully reading the afore mentioned writing. After reading the words he searches the alley walking its length still keeping notice of his suroundings ensuring its suspected vacancy.
Stats 4 in general awareness to read the note, search the alley 2 in leadership giving commands
7 defense = 4+1+2
End 6 energy 4 health

OOC: Do you want to go Big battle route or as a story line? IC:
From down the way, a door creaked open. From the radio he head. "Rodger officer Bishop, we've got units enroute, what condition is the female in?"

ooc: a mesh of both I dont want more fighting then i can handle theres only one of me
IC: Immediately stirring his attention to the door, Bishop clicks his comm once more. "Dead if not critical...stand by dispatch". Eyeballing the door, bishop holsters his pistol and draws his plasma assault rifle attaching the flashlight clip from his X.S.E belt. Stepping cautiously towards the door, he turns his whole body pointing his rifle light inside the door and examines it carefully.
Clicking his comm once more he stands guard of the door rifle at the ready. "Dipatch, whats the status of requested units?" Bishop is smarter then your average cop, usually the dumb fools rush in without a plan, he wasn't a fool. The smart thing to do would be to wait for backup, he knew this sector and if he was where he thought he was, there was no exit from this building other then this door.
At that thought he was surprised with himself, he had come a long way, especially with his patience. His run ins with the x-men smartened him up and taught him strategy and self control. No, thinking would come later, for now he'd keep a level head and watch his surroundings. Where is that backup?!?
Stats: 2 to general awareness I assume drawing weapons and using attachments doesnt cost anything
5 defense- 2+1+2 10 stones absorb reflect energy (5x2 passive)
End heath: 4 energy: 10

OOC: Ok, here we go. IC: A young man stepped out from the house, looked at Bishop. he stuck a match and threw it into the house he had just left. As he did so he said casully, "I did not expect you to arrive so soon." The house burst into flames. Drawing from that flame he hurled balls of fire at the houses and buildings within his line of sight and one at bishop himsel. It was clear that this was not the Pyro that Bishop knew, but was likely being mentally controlled by someone else.
"We have units within five minutes of arriving, the abulence should be there any moment. Crime scene units have been alerted and will arive as soon as they can."
Stats:
One 5 stone fireball at bishop, outher fireballs at the surrounding buildings. For a total of 6 energy spent with 4 energy coming from his flame thrower.
1 defense from armor

It wasnt the fireball bishop was afraid of, he knew his absorb and reflect ability would consume most or even all of what pyro had thrown at him. Bishop was more worried bout taking the adversary down and fast. He didnt want the city to suffer anymore then it already had. He stepped into the hurled ball of flames and let it dive into his body. He chose to let let the energy manifest inside him.
"All right, you want to play huh? You Have the right to reamain Silent anything you do or say can be held against you at any point during your judgement...". He turned his rifle at pyro and took steady aim before unleashing the beams of plasma that shot out of the barrel. He had to admit the gun was powerful for its size thats what he liked about it.
Stats
2 stones into ranged combat for two shots + 7 from the rifle dealing x2 damage
9 per shot x2 damage
my passive absorb reflect energy would have soaked up the fire and potentially reflected it back at pyro for the same aount he absorbs up to ten energy damage. He can also choose to store it for a loss of 1 red per panel held which he did here.
End energy 8 health 4
