The sun rises over the hills in New York City, people rising to continue along with their routine. A striking news report comes across the television:
Breaking news! It appears that a young man was killed during the night, his body left in the streets to be found by a few tourists to the city. We're uncertain as to the cause of this attack or if more will be occuring. All that we know is this is a true tragedy and will hopefully not happen again.[/color]
A murder in New York City. Big deal, right? But this was no normal killing. Something about it stinks of conspiracy, as though this person was killed for a reason and more will likely be killed if something isn't done about it. A small group of people living within the city are taking it upon themselves to get to the bottom of this and get rid of the threat. Hopefully they will make it out alive...

OOC: Alright, guys! Let's get this started. You need to get a lynch in before the day is through. In order to lynch somebody, your post needs to contain the words /lynch SuperBro (or something along those lines... and don't use my name?). Make sure it's bolded! This will make it easier for me when I start tallying the votes! Remember, the town only wins when there are only townies left!
A lynch requires 7 votes. If nobody gets 7 votes by sundown, then nobody is lynched. The sun sets on Thursday at 10:00pm, EST.
Good luck.
EDIT: Here's the list of players. I'll keep it up to date based on who dies and all:

I'm going to go with 4. With 3 members thered be really too few among our numbers. With 4 we'll probably get more chance to eliminate one with each vote. If there was 3 or less, we'd end up eliminating way more Townspeople... I'd say we should try and consider there being 4.

4 is probably the best bet given the usual 1:2 ratio, though 5 is also a possibility.
And can we please try to consolidate our votes better? The first vote is essentially random, so no matter who we pick off we're working on sheer chance. The best strategy is obviously to nail someone right off, get through the phase, and move onto a second, better-informed day session once the Mafia's had their fun.

Well the first days vote is sheer chance to begin with... I think this is fine. We each make our votes, and defend it or look at someone elses opinions. If we change our mind, I figure we just post the change and edit the vote out of our last post.
Besides, if someone who voted for a Mafia member is knocked off, then maybe that character's target was a member. In this case, if McFly is knocked off you may guess that Cernurro MIGHT be a mafia member... Or of course the Mafia could be just manipulating it to appear that way.
Then again, I see your point.. If we eliminate one person for certain, we may increase our future chances of getting a Mafia member. But we also weaken our own position, because that may be one less person on our side to prevent the Mafioso from voting for one another.
I'll check again tonite and if I feel its needed, I may or may not alter my vote to eliminate someone. But for now, it might be wiser to let the Mafia make the first strike... That way we don't risk losing TWO townies in one day.
Edit: Ah, we got till Thursday before the end of the 'Day'. Alright then. So we have some time to discuss and consider still then.

Or just to cause confusion until the Night comes when we... er uh... the Mafia votes! Also. I think only the Mafia knows how many people are on their team/goup. On that note. Anyone who retalliates by voting on someone that voted on them to get them out... seriously needs to be looked at suspiciously... because doing this effictively cancels each others vote out in the long run.

You don't have to go back and edit your original vote, just make sure you establish that you're changing your vote when you do. Something along the lines of: /unvote x, /vote y

Yeah, personally I would never vote to kill someone who argued that I was a Mafia member, especially if it was properly convincing. Too easily telegraphed. Makes you look suspicious and generally confirms that person's suspicions. If they're correct, let them live until they have no power to enforce it, and their repetitive accusations lose force.
EDIT: Then kill them about the third or fourth time.

XD But knowing my luck id post just because I have alot of time on my hands to snap up on the first post. Then again, within 20 minutes IS a bit quick.. And he IS acting super suspicious, TRYING to sow discension and suspicion! Creating an air of doubt in this game! XD Then again, thats what this game is about.
