I agree with you, Kai... in principle. Its just that experience tells me you'd never get a consensus on just about anything.

Upon actually looking, you are right, my bad..... and I completely concur with everything you say (goes to eat his humble pie).

Uhm... thanx WK... I think.
As for revisions, this is something that could use some work. I mean, everytime there is a game where we play existing characters (and there isnt stone count, which is lately a trend here), we get to see some versions of characters that, while not bad, are absolutely incompatybile with each other. Example: one players submits Wolverine with Reflexive dodge +2, but the other sends Jubilee who has refiexive dodge +3... wait, what? Im far from being fanboy of any of those two, but thats not how they work (alternate universes are not included in my reason). I cant really think of other examples right now (or at least I cant point out the numbers, as I remember a few games where characters had completely different power hierarchy then they supposed to have). Also, for new players who dont have much experiance with characters (havent read much comic books) or think that "book is a god, ovey and worship". We can all agree that Venom sucks in books (yeah, Spiderman's nemezis my a$$) and if there's a place to find some correct versions- its right here.
Besides- if someone new comes here to find a fixed version, they will find a place where its all right for the taking, instead of making threads like "Why Venoms sucks so much in this game?" or "Where can I find other CAD for Cyclops". Problem solved, flood averted.

Right. Again, I agree, BUT... there could never be a consensus on anything between people on these boards, especially for 'fan favorites"
Hell, I remember a Juggernaut thread not too long ago where somebody was honestly suggesting some "improvements" that would have made Juggernaut god-like. (And I bet at least one person is going to read this thread and go "wait, Juggernaut IS god-like!")
The point is... there can never be any kind of "official" thread like you suggest, because you'll never get everyone to agree to a set of standards, much less a set of CADs.

Hell, I remember a Juggernaut thread not too long ago where somebody was honestly suggesting some "improvements" that would have made Juggernaut god-like. (And I bet at least one person is going to read this thread and go "wait, Juggernaut IS god-like!") Well, I think he is supposed to be, but at the same time, I compare his stats to Thor's and determine that they could have a pretty darn good fight, especially if Thor doesn't insist on flying out of reach like a wuss all the time.Agree?! When did anyone ever say anything about that? (Okay, I maybe said "most of us will agree that certain characters have problems" or something like that) But I fully realize that people will always insist that so-and-so are uber, while the rest of us think they're crazy. My idea is not so much to make perfect CADs that we all agree to, but to group CAD revisions together, start major discussions about how to fix certain characters, and let each player and GM decide for themselves which CAD is "best" or "most accurate." And if we can get a poll showing that 78% of us think some new Cyclops CAD is perfect, that's just a great bonus.

Well, that would more or less just be a compliation of the CADs posted in various threads here, with a poll to determine which is most favored. Sort of a CAD beauty pageant. Not a terrible idea. A lot of work for some poor mod though.
As far as Juggy being god-like... I'll have to include the caveat that I haven't read many comics in the last 10 years or so, but I recall this guy being pretty much just another moke that showed up to run his mouth and then get handed his own butt by the X-Men. God-like, he was not.

Handed down by careful plan and at least one telepath on the team, becouse that was the only thing that could actually put him down. A guy survived Cyclops beam at maximum output and beat Collossus to pulp, which I say is a nice achievement. He got weaker ONLY after he become a good guy (becouse "Good is dumb"). God-like is maybe a bad example (seeing as our resident god- Thor, managed to get a lot of beating from his own foes, who werent even half as good as Juggernaut)

Uh... Wolverine took out Juggernaut solo. Why does everyone forget that? Sure, it involved casing the big moron in a block of concrete, but he still won...

As Shingen Takeda from Warriors Orochi says when he's beaten "Everything would be different in a battle of wits"

Uh... Wolverine took out Juggernaut solo. Why does everyone forget that? Sure, it involved casing the big moron in a block of concrete, but he still won... Forget? I never knew that! Pretty much everyone in Marvel has fought everyone else at some point or another, and it's a pain to keep track of who won and how they did it. At any rate, I figure a single victory can be chalked up to luck, writer laziness, heroic cheating, writers not wanting to let a popular character lose, whatever.

You can consider the term "heroic cheating" officially stolen...
