Kitty slowly closes the door leaving it cracked open slightly, then phases down to the living room and sits on the couch. Yawning before trying to call the mansion to see if anyone up.

Instinctively, Spider-Man launches his webs toward the bumper of the other train... but that only serves to gum up the window!
There was no clear line of sight, Peter was viewing the other train from through a glass windshield. But this is one little Spider-Man who's determined not to leave this life on his knees. Activating the train's "Dead Man" switch automatically applies the brakes, and it's slowing down. Unfortunately, the two trains are already too close, and going too fast, to stop in time!
They're gonna hit and hard! There's no question of that. But while the passengers of the out of control train have already fled the lead cars, Spidey's got to clear the passengers from the rear of the train stopped at the platform ahead... and fast!

Illyana is still up and she's pleased that Kitty called. She wanted to thank Katherine again for rescuing her from the Stryker Building. [Marvel Graphic Novel No. 5 God Loves, Man Kills] Colossus's sister still can't believe that Magneto fought beside the X-Men that day. Without his help, Illyana, Cyclops, Storm and Professor X would surely have been killed by the Reverend William Stryker and his Purifiers. Even more surprising perhaps was Kitty's own attempt to convince Magneto to join Xavier's cause. Ariel's Health: 3/3

Kitty smiles "Illyana, I'm suprised Peter let you stay up this late" shes says happily over the phone as she talks to her freind and gets comfy on the couch and gives off a few yawns.

Katherine has a good long talk with Illyana, who's the only one who knows how much Kitty cares for her brother Piotr.
"Goodnight, Katya," Illyana says before hanging up, using the pet name Colossus calls Ariel.
Then all is quiet and Kitty can rest... but not for long. The doorbell rings and there is a frantic knocking at the front door.
"Help! Help!"
It sounds like Jeff, but how did he get outside? He and his brother Edward are supposed to be upstairs in bed.

Katherine blushes as Illyana uses peter pet name for her, haning up she stretches about to lays down when the door bell rings. 'Who can be this time of night? She thinks to herself then she realizes it Jeff voice. Sighing she opens the door guessing his brother dared him to sneak out.

Spider-man quickly leaps into action. "Clear the platform!", he yells as he exits the train. He attempts to scoop up anybody who seems to be in need of help or won't make it in time.

With strength and speed derived from the bite of a radioactive spider, the spectacular Spider-Man leaps to the train before him. "Behind him! That train!""Move it people!"The passengers scramble out the side exit and to the front of the car. But in selflessly seeing to the safety of others, Spider-Man has lingered a second too long. OOC: Spider-Man's unconscious, but feel free to post some interesting thoughts that may have been going through his head right around the time of the train crash. I'll get back to you once Ariel gets to a certain part in the story. Thanks. |

Ariel's Energy: 9/9 Ariel follows behind Jeff as he drags her to the Pit. sighing she looks to Jeff then the pit and thinks "I could easily phase down to Edward but what will the boys think, and can i risk my powers being know what would professor say." finally she decides to use her powers. 'Now jeff stay right her while I get you brother." Slowly Ariel phases at steps down in tthe pit letting gravity carry her down. In the dark of night it's possible that Jeff didn't see Kitty use her powers.
[FYI: Ensuring that Katherine does not expose the fact that she is a mutant is one of the mission objectives.]
At the bottom of the sloping pit, Ariel finds what must be the hole Jeff said that Edward found. The hole the boy said wasn't here this morning.

Kitty sighs andgets on her hands and knees and moves thru the hole even though she was phased, as she didn't know how far back it went and start to call out Edward name.

"K-Kitty, what are they?!!" Jeff stammers from up above.
Suddenly, at least half a dozen misfits leap from the shadows and attack!
