Would something ever cost, say, 13 blue for some reason? And if so, how is that much better than 4 white 1 red? ~TWF Looking at the math, I'd say no. I can't really think of an instance where one single thing would cost 13 blue. Taking fractions out of the equation just makes things easier when you manipulate numbers or make calculations with them.

Easier to calculate honestly... I can picture 13 better than 4.33333333333333 (repeating of course)

But after CL 2, we never see red stones again on the cost chart. I never found it a problem in the slightest. Dealing with 120+30 character stone counts on the other hand...

If you have trouble dealing with red stones, why don't you just multiply everything by 3 yourself? Because I think the majority of people are doing okay with whites and reds.

And besides why are we using colors that represent health and energy respectively for creation stones? Perhaps you're just resistant to the idea of taking the blue pill.

There's nothing special about red and white stones. I suspect that they used the same red and white stones for health and energy as they do for creation because they were intended to be used as mathematical aids when adding up your CADs.
The game was meant to be played tabletop, and so there would be actual red and white stones available to help keep track of such things. Just my theory.
The only reasons I'm against blue stones are:
1. Blue stones are just red and white x3. If there are people who think its easier to deal with 120 + 30 stone characters than 40+10, I think they're probably a minority.
2. I'd like to avoid making changes to 1.0 stuff unless it's really necessary. At best I'd say the Blue stone idea is a tradeoff, and I'm going to err on the side of not changing things.

1. I'll put up a poll on it.
2. I don't think that Blue stones is a necessary change, but one that should happen. I personally like blue stones better then dealing with red and white.
