The title says it all...
I say screw the 9 action limit... there are dozens of beings out there that would have at least 12 actions.....

Screw it.
I encourage players to choose lots of little actions to compliment their characters. One of the first characters I ever made had a force blast, social skills, close combat, and almost nothing else (just made him to test the system, to see if I understood it). I realized immediately how BORING it is doing the same thing over and over because that's all you can do.
The other end of that argument, though, is that GMs need to keep players realistic. It may be tempting for some players to buy 1 white stone of EVERYTHING just because its cheap and may come in handy, but I give GMs credit enough to realize "Uhm, where did your teenager learn Black Ops?" ^__^
So screw the limit. It's only there because the actual CAD printouts could only be so big.

While it does limit the number of actions a player may decide to take, and eliminate the need to combine actions, for the most part, it's useless. It keeps things simple (sort of), but it's also not really that important. It also keeps GMs from having to read through a CAD that has 14 different actions.
But considering how often the 9 actions limit is ignored by GM rulings, and how few problems it's caused... yeah. Getting rid of it is probably pretty safe.

Well, I've never made or seen a character who needed more than 9 Actions.. However I don't see why we couldent remove it.. Oly problem is that there is 9 box's on the CaD..

Here's one murpg.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=yacads&action=display&thread=4465All perfectly fits my character and I had to scrap having Technology and General Knowledge, which was also a big part of him. Not to mention that I planned to have few more cybernetic weapons in future too. My answer- screw it. We dont need such limit.

I'd agree with getting rid of the 9 action limit.

I just remembered one of the best reasons to keep the 9 action limit. Steal Superpower. Also, to an extent, Copy A/A/M. the 9 action limit helps keep both of these powers from becoming completely insane. Yeah, I know they're pretty insane already, but still taking away the limit of 9 actions makes them even more abusable.
That's reason enough for me to say "we'll have to consider the ramifications."

That's not a good enough reason to stifle everyone else...
We're going to rework those anyway....

Of course. You guys can break as much as you want, but I'll have no part in it. Steal Superpower and Copy A/A/M need GMs to say "NO" to them at least twenty times worse than they need any re-working.
At any rate, once you've changed those powers, THEN I might be able to agree with getting rid of the 9 action limit. But in the official rules, that's one of the few things keeping them from turning into completely cosmic-level BS.

You know, for every 500 metahumans out there in Marvel, only maybe 2 or 3 have a power to copy superpowers in any way, so thats not a reason. Besides, what if I wanted a Rogue that was also trained in many ways and already had 9 actions? Does that mean her powers cant be used anymore?

Kaim, we are not breaking the old game. We are burning it down and building a new one on the ashes. That said, with both Copy A/A/M and Steal Superpower on the Chopping Block. They will change fit having a theoretically infinite number of actions. I think I have an Idea how to do it as well.
