*reorganizes some stuff on his games*
So, I guess I'll make a folder for my test game. Should I put the folder down here? Or in with the normal "Online Roleplay" games?

Down here... it's Playtesting, not an actual Game....

Seemed to make sense to me, too. Though it will come out a lot like an actual game.

TWF, do you have an idea who your playtesters are going to be?

I'd eventually like to have a lot of different players involved, but due to time/sanity constraints I will only work with about 4 players/characters at a time. The game will run in a consistent continuity, in the same setting, but the storyline will be mostly event-based rather than linear.
In other words, a single issue might revolve around a giant monster attacking the city, and ~4 characters will be chosen to take part in that issue. However, the next issue might involve a natural disaster, such as an earthquake, and a different set of characters might respond to that.
I'd like to invite a mix of players who have and haven't contributed to MURPG 2.0. When the system has been tweaked a little and is getting closer to a polished draft, I'll try to involve more new players, to see how they react to it (a major concern for me is that 2.0 is going to be much more complicated than 1.0).

Okay. If you ever need a playtester, hit me up. The game idea seems very interesting.

Yeah, I'd definitely like to be involved as well, if not initially, then certainly initially.
If the playtesting goes well, I have plans for 2.0 ;D

If playtesting goes well (as long as it ends well, really) I'm not sure I'll ever be able to play 1.0 again. lol

I'll probably have to... it'd be tough convincing my long time players to switch over (like my X-Men game f'rinstance)

I have the same feeling TwF (about being complicated).. We don't want to make a new version of the game thats worse than the first.. But I think that all who have been watching this thread, must atleast be a little interested in testing this A thing that hit me today, shouldent we find someone to write some or all the things down we agree on? Maybe split it up between multiple writers.. Because it would be rather confusing and chaotic if more than 3 where writting the same thing in 3 ways.. We have a saying in my country: "For mange kokke fordærver maden"... Which means: "To many coocks will ruin the food"..

Yeah, my test game is just my test game.. it's not at all meant to be "the" test game.

I would like to add one: It's been MY greatest concern since I started looking in on MURPG 2.0 and weighing in that players of the original MURPG won't be able to easily transition over to 2.0. Of course learning new things is always challenging, but we're not working with the same conveniences Marvel had when they made the books or even with those that the guys who made the Spidey Guide had. How are you defining the success of this project? Would you like to see what you accomplish here being used by people? It's for the reasons above that all my suggestions tend to work as closely to the old system as possible. My focus has been much closer in nature to WK's MURPG Retread than an actual effort at a 2nd edition of this system. The other reason I haven't strayed far from MURPG 1 is simply that I'm not that good at creation, and feel I excel more at improving and adapting existing things.
