Sue Richards has also been shown creating weapons out of pure force.

So Sue eventually tacked 30 lines on her Force Field action and got Psi-Weapons in it as well? She's working on a Mastery...

I'd like to think its more of just a nifty visual effect for her using Telekinesis in place of Close Combat ;D

That makes sense too, but I'm feeling like a Mastery and hating how expensive that "Unlimited Create/Manipulate" is because I am DEFINITELY feeling like some unlimited Create/Manipulate.

I've run a character with nothing but Unlimited Create/Manipulate (Fire) and had tons of fun with it. Its very flexible... but its hard to swallow a +5 cost when you can get Metamorphosis for +6

I've made Mastery characters but never played one. I've always wanted to but could never really reconcile myself with how many stones were necessary to make a Mastery go.

By the way, what is Charge Objects but a Force Blast with these options:
- weapon modifier +5 CL - range 2 (-2 CL) - x2 damage (+2 CL)
That would come to AN +3 CL. I would consider dropping that to AN +2 CL considering how crappy a weapon bonus is in this situation (most objects Gambit throws wouldn't be worth anything).
I'm not sure what else to do with Charge Objects.

Doesn't matter what Gambit would throw...
Every player I've ever had with Charge Objects has charged hand grenades or something equally lethal (which does kind of lead to the question of why Gambit doesn't...)

Woops, just realized I posted this in the Force Fields thread instead of Force Blast. HAR! I suck.

...so are you going to re-post it there or do you insist we remain off-topic in this thread?

In the games Jade Empire and Phantom Dust Force Fields shatter like glass when their defense is overcome. Would anyone be interested in seeing this implemented in MURPG 2.0?
The "shatter like glass" part isn't important, the idea of Force Fields being energy objects (Like Ablative Force Field only not broken) that can be destroyed is a workable mechanic and can make attacking a Force Field user more possible.
This effect could be applied to Dionon's "solid" force fields or force fields based on equipment or just if the player wanted something like an "destructible" force field. It wouldn't replace the current suggestions but add to them.
So I'm curious if anyone is interested in this idea, and if so I'll try and work something out for it.

Well, I definately know that Force Field is cheeze, (especially when Inventors make a Force Field Generator that makes all the stones free... 8 defense, + some toughness + some Energy Defense... ) For attacking while using a Force Field, I think there should definately be a way to do it. I see nothing wrong with the idea of creating a Force Field and projecting it away from yourself to hit someone, or making an energy barrier around yourself while you beat the tar out of someone. Force Fields may not work that way for everyone, but that's what Options are for. The system should be flexible, to allow people to build the characters they want, instead of insisting that Force Fields make you unable to attack. As far as doubling defense Stones goes... I think axing it would go a long way to make the action more balanced, especially considering weapons aren't going to add attack stones in 2.0. To keep Force Fields "special" I think some of their built-in advantages help. Not many actions can provide defense to allies, or negate armor penetration. To some extent, I would seriously consider eliminating the Force Field action, and turning it into options for Telekinesis, since there are clear similarities. But maybe that's just me.

Why havent we added this option yet: Reflect Attack??
Mechanically, I thought it could work in a couple ways: 1. Reflect stones of attack upto you're AN 2. Reflect stones of attack upto stones spend in Force Field 1&2: If the attack hits, it is not reflected even though energy stones are spend to nulify the attack.
There could also be two versions, one for Range attacks and one for close combat.. The Price??.. Well not sure.. If we take the first one, Maybe +3 per piece.. For the second maybe +2?

Are there some characters who do this? I'm drawing a blank at the moment. It's always helpful to look at what they can do as a guideline for how it should be expressed in the rules.
Is this just for energy attacks? Because it seems silly to reflect a punch..
