Hmm.. "Must Create" is a good idea, but what would the cost be? Its Create and Manipulate in one with a little twist..
Why was it Force Blasts get 2 free cost levels??

Hmm.. "Must Create" is a good idea, but what would the cost be? Its Create and Manipulate in one with a little twist.. Well, I think I might set it up such that Manipulate is the basic function, Create is a +1 CL, and "Must Create" is a -1 CL that requires you to have Create. Seems fair enough. Essentially, Force Blast was always weaker than Ranged Combat. Ranged Combat could be learned by anyone (it isn't a super power), it has specialties, and comes with a free weapon modifier. Thus, nobody ever bought Force Blasts. However, people did buy Masteries with the Force Blast option, essentially because it came with some free advantages. It makes sense (to me, at least) to model Force Blast on this successful model. ~TWF

so I tried playing with a couple players with these rules, and some points about the new Masteries was brought up:
Permanent Stuff: * To create something which is permanent, you have to pay a +1 for it. * To Create a barrier thats permanent, you have to pay a +1 for it * Entangle is per the rules, permanent and can function like barriers, so if you choose that, you wouldn't need to have barriers or permanent barriers.
So the entangle option should probably get a rewrite and the mastery becomes incredibly expensive if you want permanent effects on create and barriers, so we talked about a option which simply worked for those two options and made their effects permanent.
