IMO, Kirby has nowhere near the full Copy Action/Ability/Modifier. He doesn't becomes as powerful as the opponents he eats, he simply gains one (or "the main", whatever) power of the creature he eats, usually an attack. Giving him that would make him waaaay too powerful, and although he's good, he doesn't deserve THAT much. And with all due respects to the Monkey family, although the DKs started it all, I never ever liked them, so I don't really mind. lol. ^_^

Just becouse nobody likes them, doesnt mean they dont deserve their respect (I dont like them for sure). I'd be okay with Kongs just being NPC's with role of, say, Abominal Snowman except without snow- they are the power to reckon with, but still an animal, not good, not evil, just neutral, keeping mind on their own business. And better dont get in their way (noticed, that since SNES they were always on winning side? Smash Bros doesnt count!)
ANd for Kirby we need a modified Steal Power combined with "Inhale and Spit" action. Becouse from what I remember, Kirby's first power in first game ever was just inhaling and spitting his enemies as projectiles, copying came later.

Agreed. And by pressing "down", he can swallow the small-time foes once and for all, end of story.

Just like Star Fox will do a Barrel Roll by pressing L or R twice ^^ (If I remember correctly)

Exactly! Just as Peppy insist that he does! ;D It's one of these legendary, undying phrases of Star Fox!
"Do a Barrel roll!" "I cannot allow you to go any further." "Can't let you do that, Star Fox..." "Andross has ordered us to take you down!" "Peppy! Long time no see!" "Andross's enemy is my enemy!"
And a lot of others! ^_^

Okay, guys, it's been a while, but I think I may be willing to start this game out. I still have to come up with CADs for Goombas and a the various Koopa Troops, but what do you all think? I'm posting this here first so those of you who have been keeping up can get a kick start on the concepts.
I'm thinking 20+10 with the game starting in the Mushroom Kingdom. If you can reason in characters from other regions of Nintendopia, that's fine, just keep this in mind. Also remember that I'm limiting the races to the races I have on the first page. Don't worry too much about being at a low power level for now; much like a video game, the characters will start out very weak and, by the end, they'll be Earth shattering forces.

Is this actually gonna get started? Awesome! Time to figure out an amusing role for my PC From the Stars. The action figure route is the classic, but I could do other amusing things with his need to possess inanimate objects to exist in this world.

Still interested! Like I said a long while ago, I'm gonna go with my . As to explain what she'd be doing in Mushroom Kingdom, well, after a certain space battle, she was shot down and crashed in isolated hills. Wolf and the others looked for her, but they only found the wreckage of her ship (she managed to jump off before the crash). Since they couldn't locate her signal (her communicator broke when her ship was shot down, and her signal beacon was installed on the communicator), Star Wolf had to assume that she was dead, and they left the planet. I'll make a CAD later today.

Go for it. I would like at least one or two people from the Mushroom Kingdom, though, seeing as it's starting there.
That said, I haven't even put this up in the On-line RP board, so I could get something for that over there.

I intended to do a Myrmidon, but that would be too easy and wastefull for a Nintendoverse. So I decided to make a Kirby instead, except this one is a different Kirby, the newcomer if you may. After some analyzis I figured that his main powers could be done in only 3 actions.
This action is for swallowing the enemies. The main point of it is that Kirby inhales a lot of air and places the enemy inside his belly. From then he can do two things- either Spit and deal damage by using is a bullet (via Spit) or copy its powers, releasing the enemy unharmed (via Power Copy). The enemy cant be held inside belly for more then 1 panel (meaning that it gets out the next panel after swallowing), or else it will break free by itself. And obviosly- this power is disabled when copying someone else.
Inhale: (-3cl) [Force Blasts] -Doesnt deal direct damage [-2cl] -Range: 3 [-1cl] -Attack vs Weight and stones in defense (but no Toughness/Reflexive dodge) to disable [+3cl] -Limited duration (1 panel only) [-2cl] -Single target [-1cl] -Cant use while Copying powers [-1cl]
This power is for spitting the opponents as Bullets. It can be used in the same (as second action) or next panel after Inhale. Its just a Force Blast with weapon modifier (limited). I guess it can be used for throwing allies as well (if it was a computer game, this would be a pretty awesome tool for finding secrets).
Spit: (+3) [Force Blast] -Limited Weapon modifier (Inhaled Victims Weight and misc stuff*) [+4cl] -Range: 3 [-1cl] -Deals damage to both target and "bullet"** [+1cl] -Can be only used in conjuction with Inhale [-1cl] -Single target (single bullet, duh) [-1cl]
And finally the big one. I used the modifier version of Rogues Steal Superpower, downgraded it to be both affordable and useful, yet not quite overpowering. I decreased the cost level by inversion of cost levels.
Power Copy: (12ws) [Steal Superpower=30ws=13cl] -One power only*** [-1cl] -Copies only !battle skills! of enemy**** [-1cl] -Limited Duration: 5 minutes (10 panels) OR when wished (by using Spit, except no Weapon modifier) -Doesnt take memories of target [-1cl] -Doesnt stun the target [-1cl]
* - By Misc stuff I mean things that enemy has which may deal additional damage, like Spikes, Covered in Flames or Electrified. GM should treat them as situational modifiers
** - Damage done to "bullet" is treated like falling damage, except acrobatics wont provide a defense. Since after Inhaling the target cant place stones anywhere, its only defense would be Toughness and Physical armor. Example: Kirby swallowed a Goomba (weights only 1) and then Spit it on another one. He put 4 stones into Spit action, so the damage to Target equals 5, while Bullet recieved falling damage 4 (no modifier). Since both had no defense and only 3 hit points (yes, I remember that this game has hitpoints, not white stones of health), both Goomba's are dead. If the Bullet had Toughness of 2, then the damage would be lowered to only 2, which would leave the Goomba with 1 more Hit Point.
*** - By one power I mean "can copy only one targets power". The power may grant more then one upgrade. For example: Link will provide BOTH Close Combat and a Sword.
**** - Meaning that whatever the specialization the victim has, the only thing that CAN be copied are battle abilities. So swallowing Star Fox wont grant Vehicle Operation, but rather Range Combat and Blaster (or whatever GM feels like).
And this is the basic Kirby power set, pretty accurate to games and actually doable with low stone count. With Inhale and Spit at AN 4 with Copy Power, the whole costs only roughly 19ws, leaving some for basic abilities and low level flight. And since every race gets a discount, I guess Kirbiling should also have something (Im thinking about Flight at discount).
So, any comments?

Actually... I was going to try to artfully avoid including Kirby for now... His games can be explored once the game gets off-planet, but I'm going to try to avoid using him in-game. Sorry to crush anybody's dreams!

But I really wanted to make one. You made us really sad Why avoid him? He can fit in just anywhere and he isnt too overpowered or anything.
